Floyd Mayweather Claims He's the Best Pound-For-Pound Boxer

Troy SparksAug 30, 2010

If you look on Floyd Mayweather's new website at floydmayweather.com, it'll surprise you.

The undefeated boxer said on his new website that he's the best pound-for-pound boxer in the world.

Did this memo get to Manny Pacquiao across the pond?

I thought that he held the title.

Is Ring Magazine and ESPN, to name a few, wrong?

Since I lean towards supporting Mayweather, he can't be further from the truth.

How many agree with Mayweather of his claim to be the best, regardless of weight class?

Where in his right mind did Floyd get the idea to post that claim on his new website?

If I was designing his new website, I'd put a picture of a chicken in the corner.

It looks like Floyd is acting like that now.

He has to take a back seat to Pacquiao and wait until after the outcome of his fight against Antonio Margarito.

It was reported that Margarito is licensed to fight in Texas.

See, if Floyd or Manny would've applied their brains and signed on the dotted line without pre-fight demands, then Margarito wouldn't be in the picture.

This might backfire on Mayweather if Pacquiao quits after fighting Margarito.

Pacquiao handled almost every Golden Boy boxer, including the Golden Boy himself, except one. Mayweather.

I don't know what Mayweather is trying to prove with his newly-designed website.

I even tried to leave a suggestion in the "contact us" section, which shut the site down.

So far, Mayweather hasn't contacted me about my articles on him. I want to hear from him.

I can't confirm that he's the best PFP fighter in the world because he hasn't proven it against the current PFP title holder.

And to prove it, Mayweather must beat the best to be the best.
