Tim Tebow: Denver Broncos Quarterback Continues His Learning Curve
Denver Broncos rookie first-round quarterback Tim Tebow has now played in two professional games in the NFL albeit they were only preseason games.
After getting sandwiched between two Bengals defenders while rushing for his first ever pro touchdown, Tebow sustained some bruising in his ribs, but that is all part of his learning curve in the NFL too.
Sliding could have prevented that, but this is Tebow we are talking about the the guy is a competitor and wants to win.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
In order to do that in the NFL, you need to score touchdowns and he did just that by sacrificing his body for the touchdown.
Will he think about sliding the next time?
Probably not if the game is on the line and a touchdown would mean a victory for the Broncos, but Tebow also needs to realize that the hits comes much harder in the pros.
In game two, Tebow threw his first touchdown pass in the fourth quarter to wide receiver Eric Decker, but he also threw his first interception as a pro quarterback.
All part of the growing pains as a rookie quarterback and to go along with that, his accuracy was a less-than-stellar 50 percent.
Right now, there is no need to worry about the picks, the low accuracy, or even taking hard hits from opposing defenders because they are all part of his learning curve. Tebow is doing exactly what a rookie quarterback is supposed to do right now.
Since the Broncos handed starting quarterback Kyle Orton an $8 million extension several weeks backs, it is quite obvious the Broncos are willing to be patient with Tebow, which is for the best.
Many quarterbacks had to ride the bench with a clipboard for several seasons before taking over the reigns like Philip Rivers and Aaron Rodgers and they turned out to be great quarterbacks in their own right.
How long will the Broncos be patient though, and more importantly, how long will the fans be patient especially if Orton struggles?
Only time will tell, but with Tebow looming on the bench, you can bet that Orton feels the heat and he will do his best to take his game to the next level.
A extension means Orton must produce now and next year, but after that it is really any one's guess and that is where Tebow could take over.
In the end, Tebow will get some reps in the regular season as a rookie most likely as a Wildcat quarterback to switch up the playcalling and throw defenses off, but this will probably be the only way Tebow will see the field as a rookie barring injuries because he needs to sit down and learn first and foremost.
