2010 Little League World Series: Sunday's Scores, Results, and Recap
Another summer is winding down and with it so has the 2010 Little League World Series. The annual event is one of the best displays of sport and sportsmanship in America and is always a good watch in late August.
You will find the results of the consolation game and the championship game from this afternoon along with a quick thought about each.
Consolation Game
Chinese Taipei 14, Texas 2
Winning Pitcher: Wei-Chih Chen
Losing Pitcher: Jaron Roblyer
This game wasn't even close. Chinese Taipei jumped on Texas from the start, tacking on nine runs in the first. For the tournament, Chinese Taipei outscored its opponents 62-6.
Championship Game
Japan 4, Hawaii 1
Winning Pitcher: Ryusuke Ikeda
Losing Pitcher: Cody Maltezo
Save Pitcher: Ichiro Ogasawara
Japan only allowed four hits as it won its first Little League World Series championship in seven years. The Japanese got great pitching and silenced Hawaii's bats as they tried to win their second crown in three years.
