Lamar Hunt Statue Unveiled at Columbus Crew Stadium

Before the start of the MLS game between Colunbus Crew and FC Dallas, Columbus Crew Stadium in Ohio was honored with a historic moment.

The statue of Lamar Hunt was unveiled and dedicated in the stadium. It is an honor that was needed since he is associated with the rebirth of US Soccer.

Lamar Huntwas the founder of the MLS and Columbus Crew at a time when soccer was beginning again in America.

His company which is Hunts Sporting Group built the Columbus Crew Stadium and acquired FC Dallas in 2002.

Lamar Hunt will always be remembered as a humble person whose goal was to help US Soccer bloom.

He will always be remembered by US Soccer, MLS, and Columbus Crew for his contributions to the sport.
