What Should Happen to The Nexus After They Split Up
Individually known as Wade Barrett, Skip Sheffield, Heath Slater, Justin Gabriel, David Otunga and Michael Tarver.
Collectively known as The Nexus, one of the most dominant stables in recent WWE history.
Now there have been rumblings among the IWC that the WWE will not continue with the group storyline past October.
Now if that is true, I for one would be pretty disappointed, as in my opinion the Nexus has been a breath of fresh air for the WWE.
However, if these rumours were to be true, I have decided to make a slideshow highlighting how I personally think the WWE should use these guys after the stable breaks up.
And can I please remind everyone that these slides are all about my personal predictions, so please don't start giving me abuse about them, as this is all about how I feel about where they can go from here.
Other than that, feel free to add your opinions and thoughts.
Wade Barrett

Firstly, I'll start with the leader of the stable and seemingly the brains behind it, Wade Barrett.
Barrett won the first season of NXT, and in doing so, earned himself an opportunity to fight for any title of his choosing.
After a few months, he has decided to use this opportunity at Night of Champions, where he will compete for the WWE Championship in the Six Pack Challenge.
Now, I hope that this will be a sign of things to come for Barrett, as I am a big fan of Barrett's, (partly because he's English like me), but mainly for his overall ability.
He's great both in the ring and on the mic as well, which should always make you main event material.
Now if the Nexus break up, I hope that the WWE keeps Barrett in the Raw main event picture, and give him a run with the WWE Championship at some stage in the near future.
Justin Gabriel

Now we move on to Justin Gabriel, who is the first-ever South African-born wrestler in the WWE.
I think that the future should be bright for this man, however I think to avoid being pushed down the midcard on Raw, he should maybe move to SmackDown and enter the World Heavyweight Championship picture.
If he does move to SD, he could possibly turn face and then enter the Rey Mysterio mold and use his high-flying moves to take down bigger men and end up winning the World Heavyweight Championship.
If this doesn't happen, I could see him entering into a feud for either the Intercontinental or US Championships and having a long reign with one of those belts to help him earn the main-event status he'll need to win the WHC.
Skip Sheffield

Skip Sheffield, who is obviously the brawn of the Nexus.
I think that he should move to SmackDown as well if the Nexus break up, and I think he could quite easily be the next Batista, if used properly.
It is evident that he has the same build as Batista, and maybe could follow a similar path to Batista.
He could either stay as Barrett's enforcer on Raw then turn on him, or maybe go the other way and use him as a monster heel and turn Barrett face.
Or, alternatively he could be kept as a monster heel and be moved to SmackDown and fight for the World Heavyweight Championship as well, potentially setting up an ex-Nexus title match against Gabriel somewhere down the line.
Heath Slater

With regards to Heath Slater, if the Nexus broke up, I can't see him going any higher than the mid-card picture for a while.
However, having said that, with guys like him, Gabriel and the recently returned Daniel Bryan, I could see these guys leading the recovery of the WWE mid-card.
I can see Slater staying on Raw and going after the US title, maybe going after Daniel Bryan, which I think has the makings of an awesome feud, especially with Bryan's former Nexus background.
Or, he could go over to SmackDown and maybe start a feud with Justin Gabriel for the Intercontinental title, but whatever Heath Slater does, I think the WWE should keep him heel for a little while.
David Otunga

Now this is an interesting topic... What would the WWE do with David Otunga if the Nexus broke up?
Now in an ideal world, they would give him a non-wrestling role, as it has been highlighted by many people, his wrestling ability leaves a lot to be desired.
However, I think that the reason he has stuck with the Nexus is the fact that his ability on the mic is better than most. I think that the WWE should do either one of two things with him.
Firstly, I think they should maybe give him a role as the leader of a stable or a certain monster heel, maybe like CM Punk's SES, but without the wrestling role.
It would help keep a heel faction in the company and also give him time to work on his wrestling ability in his spare time.
Alternatively, he could maybe form a tag team with Michael Tarver, which would be interesting because it would provide another legitimate threat to the Hart Dynasty and their WWE Tag Team Championships.
It would also allow Otunga to participate in matches whilst maybe letting Tarver be the dominant partner.
However one thing is clear, whatever happens to David Otunga, he must stay heel.
Michael Tarver

Last, but no means least we are left with Michael Tarver. With regards to Tarver, I have already suggested that the WWE should team him with David Otunga to create another heel team for the Hart Dynasty to feud with.
On another note, I think that he should possibly be moved to SmackDown, and again could do what I have suggested for Gabriel and Slater and that's make a push for the Intercontinental title.
I think that if he was given a good reign with one of those titles, it would legitimize his chances of a main event slot in the future.
However I do believe he does need to work on his wrestling ability, so I would not be surprised if the WWE put him as part of a team with Otunga and maybe start them off unsuccessfully in matches then after a while, once their ability has improved, make a successful run at the Tag Team Championships.
Again, like Otunga, the WWE must leave Tarver as a heel.
Final Thoughts

So, that is what I think should happen to the Nexus if they do happen to break up in the near future.
Like I said in the first slide, these are all totally my opinions, and there will be no point in giving me abuse about them, because I will just delete your comments.
Having said that, if you want to share your opinions on what should happen to the Nexus members, then go for it, and I will try to reply as soon as I can.
Hope you liked it.
