Richard Childress Ultimate All - Star Team

Timothy AlbertsonAug 5, 2008

OK, so its open mic time, and this is my first one, so I figured that I would do the ultimate NASCAR team! I have picked RCR for an important reason I will get back to later.

For my Team leader:Dale Earnahrdt Jr. this guy is doing amazing since he left DEI, sitting second in points this year, no DNF's, one win so far, seven top fives, 12 top tens, and an average finish of 11th place, this is a strong horse for a leader, his chemistry and loyalty to his team is amazing, and would make a great leader.

Second on my list is Carl Edwards. Sitting third in cup points, coming off an amazing win at Pocono, his 4TH of the season, a great candidate for my team. He has nine top fives this season, and fifteen top tens, and ALSO has an average finish of 11th place. Always a positive guy, and cm-on, who wouldn't want the back flip guy on his team.

Third on the list, I need a veteran driver, someone who has been here for a while, so I think I will go with Jeff Burton. He is sitting fifth in the points, with one win under his belt, four top fives and 11 top tens, and yet again, an average finish of 11th, I swear this is all coincidence. A real veteran of the racing circuit. This man is getting up in his age, and still manages to win races time and time again. Plus if he was on my team he could give amazing feedback to my drivers from all the things he has learned in his many years.

Finally on my list, I think I need a younger guy, just starting off his career over the last couple of years, and I think I'll have to take Clint Bowyer. Sitting twelfth in points, one win this season, four top fives, and ten top tens, and an average finish of 16th this year. This guy will have what it takes to make the Chase, and be a real contender for my team, he brings good positiveness to the team, another all around great guy.

Now why did I pick Richard Childress you might ask, well, two of the drivers are from RCR, and, my DREAM in life is to see the black number 3 Chevrolet driven again, and I would love it to have Dale Earnhardt Jr. behind the wheel.

No I didn't pick Kyle Busch, and there is a good reason why. Well it's simple really, I don't like his attitude. Yes he is an amazing driver and is on a ROLL right now. But, I need to be able to talk with my team, and I just feel that his ego is WAY too much for me to handle.

So there it is, the RCR all-star team, with these guys, I believe I will have a magnificent chance to win the title for many, MANY years to come.
