Brett Favre's Designer Colors
I started thinking about color when the word came down that the recently unretired, soon-to-be-former Green Bay Packer quarterback, Brett Favre, would likely not be sporting the green and gold this season but would more likely don the purple and white of the Minnesota Vikings, or the black and red of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Biggest Questions Surrounding 2026 NFL Season After the Draft 🤔
So, with that in mind, what do those colors say about Brett?
Those of you familiar with my past works know getting in touch with my inner metrosexual is near impossible since my idea of moisturizing my skin is to take a shower.
Thankfully, there is the Google on the Internets and, after entering 'What does color say about you?', I was directed to bagsnob.com. According to that website, here's what color (in this case, as it pertains to handbags and, for the purpose of this article, uniforms) says about the person wearing it.
PURPLE: You lavish yourself in luxury and love the finer things in life. Purple is the color of royalty. In imperial China, no one other than the Emperor can wear purple. You are a true romantic and ultra feminine but tend to live outside of reality. You tend to have a distorted view of yourself but to others you are nothing, if not sophisticated.
An interesting assessment as it pertains to Brett. He has been treated as royalty in Green Bay and there's no reason the fans in Minnesota wouldn't embrace him the same way.
For a time, Brett had been living outside of reality if he thought the Packers head office would take him back, but reality is finally setting in and he's ready to leave Green Bay.
If he lands in Minnesota, then he may feel a little distorted wearing a uniform other than that of the Packers but if he pulls in numbers with the Vikings like he did with the Pack last season, then he should be just fine.
WHITE: You show innocence and purity, but what is hiding behind the sterility? Usually it is something a bit gritty. It is a great summer color and the most neutral of all colors but it attracts dirt, so what does that really say about your innocence after all?
Not much. Brett has to take his share of the blame in this entire fiasco since his unretirement, but it's obvious the fire still burns in his belly. You can bet no matter where he plays that he'll play with grit and determination; and be more than willing to get his uniform dirty if the payoff is a Super Bowl.
RED: You are emotional and intense. You crave attention and are a bit of a drama queen. It makes people uneasy, so is not helpful in negotiations and confrontations but you love it! What you want is a story line based on your life on your favorite soap opera! Red is associated with love, it is something you center your life around and we all can use an accent of red in our lives!
Based on this analysis, Brett would be a perfect fit in Tampa Bay. We've seen more emotion and drama out of Brett in the last few months than in an entire season of all the weekday afternoon soaps combined.
As we've seen, confrontation is not something Brett relishes but has found himself entangled in anyway. It may have worked, since the Pack is talking with the Bucs about a deal of some kind.
As for the attention, he's used to that although the intensity of it these days is of a different nature and different intensity.
There is no doubt, however, come opening day the media spotlight will be on Brett, his faithful wife Deanna in the owner's box gleaming down at her husband and as he throws his first touchdown pass, he will signal to the world just how ready he is to play.
BLACK: You seek authority and power, be careful because too much black can make you a villain. It is the common color for fictional evil characters. It is also the color of submission so be careful which way that authority and power is going.
Brett departure from Green Bay will certainly make him a villain in the eyes of some but will likely be felt more by the Cheeseheads who are about to enter a very dark period of uncertainty.
We can only assume that with Brett at the helm of the Bucs, he will have all the power over his Tampa offence—he will determine how successful the Bucs will be, and he will have the authority to do what it takes to make Tampa even more of a contender than they already are.
No matter where Favre ends up, we'll all have to get used to him wearing something other than green and gold and it'll ultimately be the Packers left holding the bag.
