Draft Lottery Winners and Losers
Today’s NHL news and notes:
- Willie Mitchell signs in LA for $7 million over 2 seasons.
- Kovalchuk flew back to Russia and multiple reports suggesting the winger is contacting KHL teams about possible signing
- Raffi Torres will compete for a top-6 forward spot, but most likely slotted in to play a physical game on the third grinding line. He signed 1-year, $1 million dollar deal.
- Bill Guerin is told by the Penguins that they do not intend on bringing him back, Guerin is disappointed to hear this news.
- Bobby Ryan wishes to remain a Duck as the Ducks want him back. Hold back is the discussions on term. Ryan wants a 3 year deal which brings him into UFA, but Ducks have offered 4 and 5 year deals thus far.
- Paul Kariya has yet to say if he wants to play hockey again, but Ducks equipment staff has contacted Blues about Kariya.
- Nicklas Grossman signed a contract with Dallas Stars.
