WWE: Five Steps It Must Take To Get Back on Top

Sam WatkinsAug 24, 2010

Recently, the WWE has been spiraling down. Talent is being wasted, quality matches have become rare, and the Creative Team seems to get lazier every week.

The WWE Universe is growing impatient. All of the WWE's problems are relatively simple, and can be solved with a few simple solutions.

1. Stop Using Talented Superstars as Jobbers

This one is pretty obvious. We all know how talented John Cena and Rey Mysterio are, but there are other Superstars, young and old, who are more than capable of Main-Eventing Pay-Per-Views.

Just a few of these Superstars are Christian, MVP, John Morrison, Evan "Air" Bourne, and Chris Masters.

It wasn't too long ago that John Morrison was a tag team champion, and now he is being beaten by Skip Sheffield?

All of these guys have tremendous ability, Evan Bourne is arguably the best high-flyer in the WWE, yet we rarely see him.

Most of the WWE Universe will agree that Chris Masters' submission move, the "Master Lock", was one of the greatest submission moves in WWE history, but Masters' now is only good for flexing his muscles and getting divas.

If the WWE wants to gain their fans back, they need to stop wasting their time on the Randy Ortons, and spend more time on the Chavo Guerreros.

2. The Tag Team Division

What happened to the days of Rated RKO, and La Familia? I dont know either. The WWE Tag Team Division used to be exciting, competitive, and dignified.

Now all we have is The Hart Dynasty and The Usos. Don't get me wrong, The Hart Dynasty is extremely talented, but who are they? What do we know about them? Nothing.

The WWE Tag Team Matches used to be anticipated and entertaining, now I have a hard time not changing the channel every time Vladimir Kozlov comes on Monday Night RAW.

The solution is simple, bring bigger stars to the Tag Team Division.

We finally have Jericho and Edge, but we have no idea how far that will go. Add a few big names to the Tag Team Division and it will regain its edge.

3. The WWE Creative Team

Yes, Dolph Ziggler v. Kofi Kingston is a good match, the first time. After seeing them wrestle five weeks in a row, you get impatient. Can the WWE Creatives not think of anything better than this?

John Cena overcomes obstacles...again.

What are they being paid for? What is Stephanie McMahon doing every week?

The WWE Universe wants something new. How about have John Cena turn heel? It may be a risky move, but it will certainly attract more fans.

How many watch Monday Night RAW and know the outcomes of the matches before they even begin? I know I do.

The WWE Creative Team needs to come up with something new, something edgy, something not Dolph Ziggler.

The only recent shock that comes to mind was the Nexus Invasion, but somehow the WWE Creatives have managed to ruin that angle too. Shake things up, keep us guessing, make us anticipate next week's episode.

4. Friday Night SmackDown

Ever since the WWE Draft, Friday Night SmackDown has become Friday Night SnoozeFest.

There is plenty of talent on the SmackDown roster. You have Superstars like Christian, Chavo Guerrero, MVP, Jack Swagger, and Matt Hardy.

All have been champions at one time or another, yet all we see on Friday Night SmackDown is Superstars like The Big Show, CM Punk, and Kofi Kingston.

Many would agree that Christian is one of the most talented wrestlers in the WWE, yet WWE continues to sideline him.

SmackDown has great potential with all of this talent, but in order for SmackDown to be the showstopper that it once was, you need to get past the boring Straight Edge Society, and bring back Captain Charisma.

5. The WWE Divas

What happened to Trish Stratus, Lita, and Chyna? Three of the most talented divas in WWE history, all had enormous success during their runs in WWE, and didn't look like supermodels.

Yes, Kelly Kelly is great to look at in the ring, but I would choose to see Torrie Wilson v. Molly Holly any day. It seems like now WWE just lets in any woman under the age of 30.

Sure there are some talented divas, Michelle McCool, The Glamazon, and Melina, but the rest are all just eye candy.

Do the Bella Twins even wrestle anymore? I'm not saying that changing the WWE Divas will save the company, but it is definitely a step in the right direction.

Get rid of Tiffany, bring back dignity to the WWE Divas.

So, these are all very simple things that would only help WWE.

Give the WWE Universe what they want, I mean they ARE the reason for your original success in the first place.

Listen to them once in a while, or the fall of WWE will only continue.
