2010 Fantasy Football: Kareem Huggins, Cadillac Williams In RBBC?
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers may have found a gem in second year running back Kareem Huggins. Huggins has already passed veteran Derrick Ward (may be cut) on the depth chart and is a possible threat to Cadillac Williams fantasy value.
In the second week of the preseason, Huggins got time with the first team offense and posted eight carries for 44 yards.

2010 Outlook
Huggins has the speed and shiftiness to be a dangerous fantasy option if he should receive an opportunity to start this season. At this time, Williams is the clear starter, but he’s obviously had his health problems in the past.
Look for Huggins to be a third down runner to start the season, but if he should play well in a limited role, he will be an RBBC threat to Williams. One has to question if Williams will ever find the explosion and elusiveness he had before his knee injuries.
As for Ward, he was a decent backup with the Giants, but he doesn’t posses the game breaking ability Huggins has. The Buccaneers offense needs playmakers and Ward hasn’t lived up to the billing that made him a coveted free agent signing last year.
While Huggins isn’t a name you should look for at most fantasy football drafts, he is a name to keep an eye on.
The Buccaneers start out the 2010 season playing the Browns and Panthers. Both teams should be bad against the run and are susceptible to impact players. If Huggins should play well in these games, he could be worth a look if Williams should struggle to rush for over a four yard per carry average.
