NFL Preseason 2010: Redskins Vs Jets Predictions
On Friday, the Redskins head north to play their first game in New Meadowlands Stadium against the New York Football Giants.
Sorry, I mean Jets.
Both teams so far have had heartbreaking moments and kick-ass moments. Here are my predictions for the Redskins vs Jets game.
Rex Grossman Will Throw for 110 Yards and 2 TDs
1 of 5
The Jets are not very good in passing defense.
Their pass defense is giving up 191.5 passing yards a game. And against the Redskins, it should be even worse.
The Redskins average 288.5 yards passing a game, and they show no signs of slowing down. If the rushing game does not add up fast, the 'Skins will pass their way to victory.
Keiland Williams Will Be the Redskins' Leading Rusher
2 of 5
Yes, that's right; Keiland Williams will lead the Redskins in rushing.
Even though Willie Parker is set to start this game, the Jets defense is strong against the run and Parker will falter.
Williams has been the only effective runner in preseason so far for the 'Skins. He will have 48 yards rushing on 10 attempts and 1 touchdown.
Parker will be limited to 27 yards on 8 attempts.
Anthony Armstrong Will Have Another Big Game
3 of 5
Anthony Armstrong has been productive so far in the preseason.
He had 4 receptions for 82 yards last week versus the Ravens, winning Player of the Game.
This week he will have another big game, with 5 receptions for 73 yards and a touchdown.
Robert Henson Will Lead the Redskins in Tackles
4 of 5
Robert Henson did well with 4 tackles and a sack last week against the Ravens.
He will do even better this game.
He will record 6 tackles and 2.5 sacks this week.
The Close
5 of 5
The Jets will shut down the Redskins' running game this week but the passing game will be too much to handle.
Expect the Redskins to be victorious against the Jets.
Final Score: Redskins 27, J-E-T-S 20
