Bryan BrackneyAug 22, 2010
Thed Indoor Football League has announced that they have added two teams and lost one for the upcoming season. The Reading Express and a team in Lehigh Valley, PA have joined the league, while the Abilene Ruff Riders have left the league.
The Lehigh Valley team will play in Stabler Arena. "We couldn't be more thrilled then to have the Lehigh Valley join the IFL. The excitement and enthusiasm that we have already received, in the short time since our induction into the league as an expansion franchise, has our group confident that we will establish a long-lasting brand in the Valley for years to come," states Mike Clark.
“We are very excited to welcome the Reading Express into the Indoor Football League family. Reading is a high quality organization which brings a great deal of enthusiasm and talent to our Atlantic division,” IFL commishoner Tommy Benizio said.
The Ruff Riders have decided to join the Southern Indoor Football League. “We share the same vision as the SIFL and look forward to entertaining fans for years to come”, said owner Scott Anderson. It’s all about offering affordable family entertainment to our fans. We like the SIFL’s modest business model and believe the best is yet to come, Anderson said.
