Rashard Mendenhall: A Pro Bowler?

The 23-year old had a break out year last year with 1,108 yards and seven touchdowns. This year, he is the man in the Steel City, especially after the departure of Willie Parker. Mendenhall became the man last year after Willie Parker got hurt, then Rashard stole the show. 

After missing the Pro Bowl last year, he has his sights on it this year. He will get more touches than last year and definitely more opportunities to showcase his abilities to the rest of the NFL. Last year's breakout kind of surprised many people because nobody really knew what to expect from him after only rushing for 58 yards and hurting his shoulder his rookie year. But with a break out game the first game he got to start in 2009, rushing for 165 yards and two touchdowns against the Chargers, people started to realize he is here to win.

Mendenhall really had an impressive year last year, and came into his own by the end of the season. He is young (23) and has a lot of football in him. The only question regarding him is fumbling. He has had a problem with fumbling in the past. It was so bad that Hines Ward placed a note in his locker that read "Take Mendenhall's ball away and get $100 from him" in 2008. We all will find out how good he is going to be this year..Pro Bowl or Bust? Only time will tell
