Is It The God Thing?: Why Does The World Hate Tim Tebow?
Sports fans are a confused bunch.
And I am one of them.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
The next thing we know, that player drives his expensive SUV into a fire hydrant, bringing about questions of his marriage, and a barrage of mistresses.
Those are the people we should be cursing.
And that is why I am so confused about this Tim Tebow hatred.
Is it his ability to get any woman in the world without so much as lifting a finger? Are you jealous?
Do you hate him because he seems like a suck up? A goodie two shoes?
Or is it the God thing? Really, is it?
If it really is the 'G- Word'... Well, then why?
What is so bad about God? I don't intend to turn this into a political matter, but why is devoting your life Jesus a bad thing?
I understand that you may not be a believer and I get it if you don't believe there is a higher power or a meaning to life. I can understand that.
It just isn't the way you think.
But why does loving Jesus rub you the wrong way?
As a Christian, albeit not devout, I believe that there is one God, but I have not yet been able to commit myself to the teachings of the bible.
I am just too young and am not completely there yet.
And as a Christian, I cannot see a way to demonize, dislike a man because he is following his faith.
The same goes for Jews, followers of Islam, Buddhists, Hindus, Catholics, or any other religious follower. I just cannot see myself hating someone because they believe in something different than I.
The Purpose of this is not to shove my beliefs down your throat, because I am not trying to do so. Nor am I trying to make this a political issue because Bleacher Report is not the place to do that.
I have the right to think that they are wrong and that they are on the wrong path, but I cannot, in any way, think of a situation that I would despise another individual because of that.
Look.
My Point Here
There are other athletes who we praise and adore, but do little outside of their sport to deserve it.
There are even athletes that are just despicable people, but yet we still continue to support them.
And yes, they are there to play sports and not to be good people, but in no way do you help your team by being a bad person.
I have always said that fans will support good people who play well and even when they are struggling, fans will support them. Fans will also support a team full of bad people as long as they are winning, but once they stop winning, everything implodes.
So, Am I Missing Something?
And am I just getting the wrong vibes?
I sure hope so.
Hate Tim Tebow for his (current) inability to run a professional offense or his college success.
But don't hate him for loving God and expressing it freely, because that just makes you look foolish and intolerant.
