Rogers Cup Day 6 Tennis Betting Tips
Caroline Wozniacki v Svetlana Kuznetsova
The bookmakers are unsure who to make the favourite between these two. Both players have had both shaky and convincing performers in this tournament and come in with a head-to-head record of 2-2. The attacking Svetlana Kuznetsova needs to be careful against a good counter-punch player. Caroline Wozniacki came from a set down to knock out the in-form Flavia Pennetta in round three, before a comfortable victory over another Italian, Francesca Schiavone in the quarter final. Svetlana Kuznetsova has dropped sets against bothAnastasia Pavlyuchenkova and Agnieszka Radwanska so far, but will be pleased with her performance in a comfortable quarter final win over Jie Zheng. Kuznetsova was out of form at last year’s US Open when Wozniacki beat her, and I think now that she’s playing well and come through a tough draw that she can beat Wozniacki this time.
Victoria Azarenka v Vera Zvonareva
Vera Zvonareva came from a set down to defeat Kim Clijsters for a second time this year. Last night’s victory can be put down to a hip injury to the Belgian who struggled moving. Victoria Azarenka will fancy her chances of adding to her Bank of the West Classic title with the elimination of Kim Clijsters. A comfortable first set victory in her quarter final over Marion Bartoli saw the Belarusian make difficult work of the French girl in the second set, coming through in a tie break. Rightfully the favourite to win this match, Azarenka should be able to annihilate the Zvonareva serve in what will be a hard-hitting women’s match. Both come in with some sort of form in this tournament but it’s Azarenka who’s impressed me more.
