Wyndham Championship: Second Round Leaders and Fantasy Golf Update
Arjun Atwal is playing strictly for money this weekend.
Atwal cannot make the FedEx Cup playoffs. He is also dangerously close to losing his playing privileges on the PGA Tour.
He needs to win, and so far is playing like it at 12-under to share the two-day lead with Brandt Snedecker.
Close behind and in the hunt for a title is John Rollins, and past US Open winner Lucas Glover. Both are only one back at 11-under.
Kevin Streelman, another good player, is also just one back at 11-under, so Atwal has his work cut out for him this weekend.
In Fantasy Golf, both my A players missed the cut, which was a blistering minus-three, as the scoring is low this weekend.
Ryan Moore and Brett Quigley are left in the cold at minus-two each.
That leaves my team with the B players, Garrett Willis at minus eight, who is active on Saturday and Sunday; Fredrik Jacobsen at minus six, active today; plus Kevin Na at minus-eight, who is activated for the final round; and Aaron Baddeley who, at minus-five, will not be needed.
The C player active on Saturday and Sunday will be Boo Weekley, currently in seventh place at minus-nine.
I am still wallowing around the 85th percentile, 4,652 points and position 23,154 in Yahoo Fantasy Golf.
Hopefully, my three remaining guys can keep scoring and make up some ground on the weekend.
I will check back in at the conclusion of the third round, so enjoy the golf later today on CBS Sports.
