Kansas City Chiefs Vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Four Chiefs To Watch

Bill RobbinsAug 20, 2010

The Kansas City Chiefs head into their second preseason game of the 2010 season against the Tampa Bay Bucs on Saturday night, and they will be ready to shake the cobwebs out of their first loss against Atlanta last week.

There will be many things to be watching for tomorrow night in Tampa. In this article, I decided to zero in on four different players that keep an eye on when the action begins against the Buccaneers tomorrow night at prime-time.

Dwayne Bowe

1 of 4

D-Bowe was virtually invisible in the first game of the preseason last Saturday.

He got the ball thrown his way exactly zero times and didn't have any impact on the game. Bowe needs to find a way to get open tomorrow night for his QB Matt Cassel, or else it could be another tough night for the Chiefs passing offense.

Eric Berry

2 of 4

Everyone has heard about the Chiefs rookie safety Eric Berry and how he has all the talent in the world.

We have also heard all about how many experts think that he will be one of the next great safeties in the NFL. If this is the case, we should starting seeing the evidence of this very soon. Berry played well in his pro debut last week, and we should expect to see more of the same tomorrow night if Mr. Berry is making strides toward having a big imapct on the Chiefs' defense this season.

Tyson Jackson

3 of 4

The former first round pick in 2009 seemed to have a little spring in his step in the Chiefs' first preseason game this year, as he was in on a couple running plays.

He will have to build off his last effort and the practices that he has endured during training camp this year, along with the coaching from his defensive coordinator Romeo Crennel.

The Chiefs need consistent play from Jackson and he will be challenged in game two against a solid Bucs' offensive line.

Javier Arenas

Arenas played very well overall against the Falcons in game one.

He had two very long kick returns and did an adequate job on defense. Chiefs personnel and fans will be interested to see if Arenas can keep up his solid kick returning abiliity against Tampa Bay, and also see how fares with his second dose of live action on an NFL defense.

Look for Javier on both punt returns and kick returns, and also in nickel situations on defense and/or with the second team defense.
