Who's The Boss? Favre or Childress?

No I am not referring to the old sitcom that starred actor Tony Danza. I am talking about "your" Minnesota Vikings. Hall of Fame quarterback Brett Favre and Head Coach Brad Childress has had a case of the soap opera syndrome as of late. Coach Brad Childress and Brett Farve were constantly back and forth about the whole retirement situation this off-season. Now that Brett has un-retired AGAIN Farve is starting to question his head coaches knowledge of the offensive that is being ran in the twin cities.

Brett recently stated that Childress had "no clue" about what is going on out there. After Childress and Vikings brass begged Farve to come back I was surprised to see Farve make those statements. The Vikings were one interception away from the Super Bowl. The talent is there for the Vikings they are just steps away from being the best in the NFC.

It was obvious the Vikes would beg Farve to come back. I personally do not blame them. Other Vikings quarterbacks Sage Rosenfels and Tavaris Jackson couldn't win a flag football championship. Brett Favre will be Brett Favre he will throw interceptions, make crazy throws, throw touchdowns, and be great. Coach Childress knows this is not Tavarris Jackson or Sage Rosenfels under center and will continue to let Favre play free as he did in his Green Bay days.

Prior to having Favre the Vikings were a one man offense leaning on Adrian Peterson to do everything. The Brett Farve element is so vital for both sides of the ball. On the offensive end defensive coordinators have to gameplan for Farve, his wide outs, and Adrian Peterson. The defense will also be refreshed due to long sustaining drives by the offense. It is comfortable to play defense when you know your offense can put up 28 points.

Brad Childress may be the head coach, but we all know who's team this is. Brad Childress understands that without Farve he will be on the hot seat.  If the Vikings win the Super Bowl nobody will ever make mention of the spat between Farve and Childress. Winning cures everything! Fake it until you make it Coach Childress!
