Wyndham Championship 2010: Fantasy Updates and First Round Results
Arjun Atwal, born in Asansol, is making a surprise run at the Fed Ex Cup points standings, posting a very nice 61 to lead on the first day of the Wyndham Championship.
OK, ask me where Asansol is? Asansol is in northeastern India, situated in the heart of the Raniganj coalfield, and one of the busiest commercial centers in India.
Atwal has been a professional since 1995 and has earned over $4 million on the PGA Tour.
He is currently 171st on the Fed Ex points list and obviously a win here would catapult him into the Fed Ex Cup Playoffs.
In second place is Brandt Snedeker who is playing very well in 2010, making 15 of 22 cuts and over $1 million in earnings this season.
Snedeker is well entrenched into the Fed Ex Cup hunt for $10 million and we will see him deeper into these playoffs.
Let's look at my fantasy picks this week and see what to do for the line up on Friday.
Ryan Moore shot a two under par and he will stay in the line up on Friday, as well as the entire team who all shot under par.
Garett Willis was a nice choice at least top start with a nice minus four, along with Fredrik Jacobson at minus three.
Both B bench players are waiting in the wings also with minus fours from Baddeley and Kevin Na.
My C player, Carl Peterrsen, had a slow start with minus one, as the bench player also outplayed him, with a minus six from Boo Weekley, but I will stick with all my starters being under par and improving tomorrow.
That will be Ryan Moore, Garrett Willis, Fredrik Jacobsen, and Carl Ptterrsen on Fiday.
Enjoy the golf and see you after Fridays round.
