Cincinnati Masters Day 4 Tennis Betting Tips
Novak Djokovic v David Nalbandian
The bookmakers have the odds very tight between these two. Novak Djokovic is getting back to his best, while David Nalbandian has been one of the best players on from over the past month or so. When he came up against a top 4 player in Andy Murray last week at the Rogers Cup, Nalbandian was comfortably beaten. There’s a chance of Novak Djokovic doing the same thing to him here. The Argentine is well-rested after a quarter final elimination was followed up with a walkover against John Isner yesterday, who retired after 9 games. But Djokovic himself isn’t looking fatigued and as long as he maintains his form for this one he can keep the momentum going.
Robin Soderling v Andy Roddick
Robin Soderling had to come from a set behind in his first game in Cincinnati, defeating Lleyton Hewitt. Andy Roddick went through in straight sets yesterday, after beating Sergiy Stakhovsky in three in the opening round. The American’s difficulties since last year’s Wimbledon final are well documented, losing to Teimuraz Gabashvili, Dudi Sela and Yen-Hsun Lu in big tournaments this year. He’s seemed fine up to this point, but now he faces a top player in Robin Soderling who is getting better game by game, it will be interesting to see how the American reacts. Two powerful service games colliding in this round, I see the Swede getting the better of the rallies and ultimately progressing from this tie.
