"It was serious but, as well, we could take different initiatives.

"In the last two days I have learned a lot about my squad and how our preparation has gone. It was a two great days."

Furthermore, 16-year-old Jack Wilshere earned a first team spot for the coming season and the number 19 shirt vacated by Gilberto. He has impressed with his performances during the pre-seasonโ€™s preparations so far.

Another player with impressive performances during these games was Bakary Sagna. He did not flinch from the physical aspects of the game and played very well, once again proving that he is one of the better signings Wenger has made.

Overall the seasonโ€™s preparations are going well and the players are gaining form, which will help them at the start of EPL in two weeks time.

After playing Huddersfield on Wednesday, Arsenal will travel to Amsterdam to take part in the Amsterdam Tournament.

They will be playing Ajax on Friday and Sevilla on Saturday.

We are likely to see another Arsenal star, Francesc Fabregas, play his first pre-season games in Amsterdam. He was given a rest by Wenger after the European Championship and is set to rejoin the team for this tournament.
