NFL Playlist: What Song is Your Favorite Team Listening To?

Bailey BrautiganAug 18, 2010

Football season is here, and we are all excited to throw back a few beers, eat some nachos, and sit back and watch our favorite NFL stars tear it up on the field.

Some of our teams are perennial powerhouses, while the rest of us are hoping that the underdogs can pull out all stops and impress us this season.

Every once in a while, I will get a song stuck in my head. It could be that I heard it on the radio or that something or someone simply reminded me of the tune. And then I got to thinking...

There has to be a song for every NFL team. Why not have some fun "score" this season with some popular music?

Here are ten songs to get your NFL season playlist started!

Cincinnati Bengals

1 of 11

We all know that Chad Ochocinco likes to ham it up every chance he gets, and with the addition of Terell Owens, we are sure to see quite a bit of drama—on and off the field.

Both wide receivers have their own VH1 reality shows, and we are sure to be in for a treat this season with their already planned touchdown celebration antics.

There is no doubt that Cincinnati is loving all the attention that these larger-than-life personalities bring to the team, and the city is now experiencing a taste of fame.

The song that seems most fitting for the Cincinnati Bengals is "Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous" by Good Charlotte.

Cleveland Browns

2 of 11

It seems that every year has been about the same for the Cleveland Browns, but Cleveland fans somehow continue to remain hopeful.

This year, perhaps more than ever, the city of Cleveland is looking for (and no doubt deserves) a miracle. The Browns seem to always disappoint, with Clevelanders constantly saying, "There's always next year!"

Well, here we go again, Cleveland. Let's hope this season is better than the rest.

The song for the Browns is "Here I Go Again" by Whitesnake.

Minnesota Vikings

3 of 11

I know you all thought that this slide would have something to do with Brett Favre, but amidst all the "will he or won't he" controversy, we seem to forget that the Vikings have the best defense in the NFL.

Jared Allen is second to only the injured Broncos LB, Elvis Dumervil in sacks, and we're sure to see even more this season.

Each time Allen pushes past the line to demolish a vulnerable quarterback, we all wince in pain, but to Vikings fans, it hurts so good.

So it is very fitting that the Vikings' song this season is "Hurt so Good" by John Mellencamp.

St. Louis Rams

4 of 11

I think we all feel a little bad for the Rams. After all, they finished with the worst record in the NFL last season, but things may be looking up for St. Louis.

With their number one overall draft pick, the Rams selected Sam Bradford out of Oklahoma in an attempt to revive their franchise. After Bradford signed a mind-blowing $50 million contract, it is apparent that the Rams are looking for Bradford to save the team.

Time will tell if Bradford is the "hero" the Rams desperately need.

The song for the Rams this season is "Hero" by Enrique Iglesias.

Oakland Raiders

5 of 11

Does anyone else have a feeling about the Raiders this season? With a relatively easy start this season, Oakland should be able to gain some momentum and give the Chargers a run for their money in the AFC West.

The Raiders have a rich history of dominance, and I'm sure that Raider Nation agrees that Oakland has what it takes to start a new era.

So, Raider Nation, do you have a feeling?

The Raiders' song for this season is "I Got a Feeling" by the Black Eyed Peas.

Denver Broncos

6 of 11

Broncos fans aren't the only ones anxiously awaiting Tim Tebow's NFL debut. The entire country is excited to see how the quarterback from Florida will perform in his first real NFL game.

Love him or hate him, we are all wondering if Tebow truly is NFL material. With a little less than a month until Denver's first regular season game, all we can do is wait.

It's hard, isn't it?

The song for the Broncos is " The Waiting" by Tom Petty.

Jacksonville Jaguars

7 of 11

Quick: You have one minute to name as many NFL teams as possible.

If you hadn't read the title of this slide, chances are you left out the Jaguars. Why?

They aren't bad. They finished 7-9 last season.

But they aren't good.

I'm sorry, Jaguars fans (all five of you), but Jacksonville is just kind of...there.

So it seems fitting that the Jaguars' song this season is " Invisible" by Clay Aiken.(Come on guys. You know you love this song!)

Pittsburgh Steelers

8 of 11

There is something missing from the Pittsburgh Steelers offense as we start the 2010 season...A big number seven.

Even though Big Ben will start in Saturday's preseason game against the Giants, the Steelers will be missing their star quarterback for at least the first four games of the regular season.

Regardless of how you may feel about Roethlisberger's off-field conduct, Pittsburgh's team is looking a bit incomplete.

The song for the Steelers this season is "Incomplete" by the Backstreet Boys.

Washington Redskins

9 of 11

With all of his weight and conditioning issues, it looks like Albert Haynesworth is slowly becoming the Oprah Winfrey of football.

He has his work cut out from him if he is going to be in fighting shape for the Redskins.

Who do you think you are, Albert?

The song for the Redskins is "Mr. Big Stuff" by Jean Knight.

New Orleans Saints

10 of 11

The Saints are the reining Super Bowl champions, and we're all watching to see if Drew Brees and the gang can do it again.

Here's a song to get all you Saints fans pumped for this season:

What Do You Think?
