
NFL Preseason 2010: The 10 Most Interesting Storylines for This Weekend
Week Two of the preseason is upon us, and that usually means the starters will play a little more than last week before maxing it out next week and shutting it down in preparation for the regular season.
So as rosters get trimmed down, each practice gets a little more important and every position battle gets a little more tense.
There are a few interesting games on this week, and they should begin to tell us who is ready to take a run at the New Orleans Championship ring...
...and who is just kidding themselves.
10. The Buffalo Bills Offense

The Bills are the only team in the AFC East without Super Bowl aspirations.
You would think that would be a liberating feeling for them. You know, no pressure.
But it's not.
People are wondering if Head Coach Chan Gailey thinks Trent Edwards is the answer at quarterback.
And if he is, they want to know what the question is.
They also want to know about that crowded backfield. Is it going to be Fred Jackson, Marshawn Lynch or exciting rookie C.J. Spiller getting the bulk of the carries?
9. Reggie Wayne and his Colts Contract

Reggie Wayne showed up and is doing and saying all the right things, but the pink elephant on the field is his desire to have a new contract.
When will the Colts address that?
What about Robert Mathis and his contract?
And some guy named Manning?
Does any of that stuff affect on field play?
Also, for the first time last year, we saw what life would be like for Indy without iron-man Peyton Manning. How are their backups going to play if called on again?
8. Kolb vs. Ochocinco and T.O.

In what could be one of the more interesting games (or at least first halves) of the week. We get to see the Kevin Kolb version of best show on turf against the two receivers that talk better games than anyone in the league.
Will Ochocinco make a second catch (so far he has one for four yards)?
Will TO continue to be Carson's go to guy?
Will Owens and Ochocinco move in together and get an Odd Couple-style reality show?
7. Big Ben

The Pittsburgh Steelers have announced that quarterback Ben Roethlisberger will play this Saturday against the NY Giants.
How long will he go?
Will he be rusty or will he be pressing to prove that he still has it?
Why exactly is he playing?
Wouldn't it be smarter to give the guys who will be playing the first six weeks the playing time?
Big Ben meets with Commissioner Goodell later this month.
Will his suspension be reduced to four games?

Is there a quarterback battle going on in DC?
Rex Grossman looked awfully good last week against...
Oh, forget it.
Do we get to see more of the "DMC" this week?
How is everything else going in the house that Shanahan is building?
He didn't seem that impressed with the 42-17 rout of the Bills.
I bet even he'll smile if they put 42 up on rival Baltimore this weekend.
Not likely, though.
5. Whatever Happened to the Patriots Defensive Line?

Once upon a time New England had three huge and talented men up front, stopping the run and engaging blockers so that the linebackers could get into the back field.
Now Richard Seymour is in Oakland.
Ty Warren is out for the season with a hip injury and key back up, Jarvis Green signed a free agent contract with Denver.
Will Vince Wilfork and the new guys be enough to make the Pats D-line dominant again?
4. Will Someone Please Help this Guy Stay on his Feet?

Sam Bradford was sacked four times last week.
At that pace, well, we don't want to know what will happen if that pace keeps up.
We do want to see how the kid will do if he gets some protection.
3. What Will Rex Say this Week on Hard Knocks?

Will he give us any new swear words that we can use?
And when will we get to see the true lead of the New York drama?
"Revis, are you in there?"
Imagine going to see Inception and hearing Leonardo DiCaprio might now show up in the movie until the second half?

And better yet, when will he make another fantasy commercial?

But there is a chance that Sage Rosenfels will be available to play for the Vikings this year.
