Wyndham Championship In Greensboro:Preview And Fantasy Golf Picks
This week, the PGA travels to Greensboro North Carolina for the Wyndham Championship at Sedgefield Country Club.
Ryan Moore is the defending champion of this event and is playing pretty well this season as well.
This season Moore is 31st on the money list and 35th on the Fed Ex Cup standings.
His earnings are almost $2 million this season, with his best finish a second place coming at the AT&T National.
Last week, NFL Mikee's Molemen had a bit of a struggle as my players got stale in the third and fourth rounds to lose ground this week in Yahoo Fantasy Golf.
Stricker and Woods stunk up the joint, Overton finished last in the cut field, and Kuchar fizzled out as well.
Let's look at the A-player choices and pick a top five finisher.
I will take D.A. Points as a solid pick this week. D.A. has been playing very well and is currently 84th on the money list and is tied for 80th in the Fed Ex Cup standings. Sadly he has not entered this week so we will switch to Brett Quigley.
A good showing would solidify Quigley's chances to be in the Fed Ex Cup playoffs starting in two weeks at the Deutsche Bank Championship in Red Sox Land, Boston, Massachusetts.
As his back up, I will take Ryan Moore with a chance to repeat as the winner of this event with good solid play.
The B-slots will go to Garrett Willis and Kevin Na, with the back ups being Fredrik Jacobson and Aaron Baddeley.
My C player is an easy selection as Carl Peterrsson lives close-by and won the Wydham a few years ago I beleive.
He is also playing decently this season winning the RBC Canadian Open.
His back up will be Shawn Micheel, who earlier in the season was a solid C player pick.
I am at the 86th percentile in Yahoo Fantasy Golf and still trail just one of the four experts for the season, staying ahead of the other three.
Last week was a debacle and I apologize to my fans who use my predictions.
