Watch Your Mouth: Why the Washington Redskins will succeed in 2010

Mal SullyAug 15, 2010

Every year a few NFL teams surprise a lot of people.

Like the '08 Dolphins who went from 1-15 to 11-5 or the '09 Saints who went from 8-8 to Super Bowl champions.

Here is why the Redskins will be the next team to over-achieve.

The Washington Redskins

And here we are with "The Redskins". A lot of change has gone through the nation's capital recently. A Superbowl winning coach and a Super Bowl losing quarterback.

Hey, Sounds like Elway 2.0.

Some people think that McNabb and Shanahan have to much to overcome to go to the playoffs and have success but, again like I said in my other article "the Beast from The East: NFC East predictions," I'm not one of them.

The Redskins will show a lot of people what this franchise has in store. There receiving corps has some questions but there is a lot of talent there.

There are some young talented players such as undrafted free agent, Brandon Banks, sixth-round draft pick Terrence Austin, and Anthony Armstrong.

But nice veterans in Santana Moss, Roydell Williams and Devin Thomas. the tight ends as always are stacked.

With pro-Bowler Chris Cooley and young, rising star fred Davis, the passing game will succeed.

The running backs have veterans Clinton Portis, Larry Johnson and Young players such as Ryan Torain and Keiland Williams.

The O-line is much improved with Trent Williams and Jammal Brown. The quarterbacks are spectacular with McNabb, Grossman and young player Richard Bartel.

The D is a top 10 as always. the Redskins have one of the toughest schedules this year but with these over the hill stars and young gems the 'Skins will succeed.

(Predicted) 2010 overall rating: 10.5 wins 5.5 losses
