Top Ten Most Hated Athletes In Sports
Everybody has a favorite team and everybody has their favorite players.
Everybody has their least favorite teams and their least favorite players.
However, these are the top ten most hated players in sports.
These are players that nobody likes. These are the athletes who people hate for reasons far beyond what they do on the field. These are the players who despise people even outside the sports world.
Ladies and gentleman: The most hated athletes in sports right now.
The Honorable Mentions
1 of 11
These are the honorable mentions:
1. Chris Bosh: An overrated PF who is going to be Miami's weak link this year when they play teams with physical front courts. Messed around with Toronto by asking fans where he should go next season on twitter. Gave a big F--- You to the fans by sitting out the final couple games of the 2009 season because of "injury."
2. Brett Favre: More just annoyed by his actions. Go away Favre.
3. Ray Lewis: Most people forget that he murdered a guy. He does seem like kind of a nice guy though. Still, he murdered somebody.
4. Jay Cutler: Pisses off a lot of people. Whined his way out of Denver (still, McD is kind of a dick as well) and underperformed in Chicago.
5. Alexander Ovechkin: Over-the-top celebrations, fights and a rivalry with NHL pretty boy Sidney Crosby.
10) Barry Bonds
2 of 11
Hated by so many people that he broke Henry Aaron's record and people still call Aaron the all-time home run champ. People just ignore the fact that he has hit the most home runs out of everyon3.
Probably because he blatantly cheated.
9) Donte Stallworth
3 of 11
Most people don't know him because he isn't a very good football player (compared to the rest of the NFL, of course) but the guy murdered somebody. He was driving drunk and stoned and hit a man jogging.
He served 30 days for the crime, but should still be in jail for the next decade.
Of course, he was reinstated by the NFL and is now playing for Baltimore. Such bullshit.
8) Roger Clemens
4 of 11
Once the golden child of the Boston Red Sox, he screwed them over and went to Toronto, where he became the wise older player. Screwed them over and went to the Yankees.
Hated by every fan that has ever watched him. Cheated his way through the later portion of his career with steroids. His Cy Youngs should be revoked.
7) Tim Tebow
5 of 11
This one isn't Tebow's fault at all. Although I wouldn't necessarily want to hang out with some guy who doesn't like drugs, alcohol or sex -- it doesn't mean I don't respect the guy.
Tebow seems like a nice man and he's a good football player who will eventually play well.
But he is too overhyped by the media. Every time the guy is on television I gag. His Super Bowl commercial was lame as shit too.
6) Terrell Owens
6 of 11
Made trouble in San Francisco. Made trouble in Philly. Made trouble in Dallas.
Alienated nearly ever fan base that he has been apart of. Throws his coaches and his quarterbacks under the bus.
Owens is one of the most talented wide receivers in the history of the games, but he's been a complete A-hole and shouldn't be in the hall-of-fame for all the misery that he has caused in the NFL.
5) Alex Rodriguez
7 of 11
Always seemed like he was trying to hard to be liked.
Turned out that he was not "the best player of his generation" but really a doped up cheater who never won until Jeter and Mo Rivera carried his ass to a title. Made it so much worse that he eventually showed up in the postseason and hit well against Philly in the world series.
He will eventually smash Aaron's record to pieces . . . but it won't matter much until Pujols (God, I hope he's clean) does it five years later.
4) Mike Vick

Killed dogs
3) Tiger Woods
9 of 11
Woods wasn't arrested, wasn't caught using steroids, wasn't betting on the game, wasn't using drugs and didn't murder anybody.
Yet, he is not Public Enemy #1 among women in this country.
2) Ben Roethlisberger
10 of 11
Was never charged for apparently raping a girl in a bar bathroom, the NFl suspends him for six games despite no evidence and no charges . . . and everybody pretty much agreed that this was appropriate.
The "Sports Illustrated" article proved that he was an even bigger dirtbag then we originally thought.
1) Lebron James
11 of 11
Has an athlete ever fallen this quickly without cheating, being caught with drugs, pulling a Tiger, betting on games, or killing anybody?
Not only quitting on his team in the middle of the Boston series, messing around with the Cleveland organization so that they couldn't sign-and-trade him, and finally breaking their hearts and going with a sure fire winner down in Miami . . . and he did it on national television.
The equivalent is your hot wife leaving you for the millionaire next door, and telling you by blowing the guy at halftime of the Super Bowl.
Currently the most hated man in Ohio. Despite the 10 Miami Heat fans, everybody is going to be rooting against James for the rest of his life.
That huge noise you just heard is everybody jumping off the Lebron bandwagon and jumping onto Kevin Durant's.
