
Top Storylines To Watch in the New Premier League Season
With the start of the 2010-11 Premier League season coming on Saturday, here are seven storylines that are hot topics going into the new season.
From who will contend for the title to who will be relegated to the Championship, the games should been even more competitive, especially for the top eight to ten teams.
Also, a ton of big name signing have come to England in the form of David Silva, Ramires, Chicharito, Yaya Toure, Christian Poulsen, Jerome Boateng and more, Premier League fans are in store for an exciting season.
Manchester City Roster Troubles

With the new rule of the 25-man roster, many Manchester City regulars from last season will not be included thanks to the big spending by the club that just keeps spending.
With the addition of the four players above (Aleksandr Kolarov, David Silva, Yaya Toure and Jerome Boateng), Mario Balotelli has signed and James Milner could soon be a City player as well.
With former City boss Mark Hughes now at Fulham, rumors have been swirling about moves to London by Craig Bellamy and Shay Given. Stephen Ireland will also be left out of the squad and should transfer somewhere in the Premier League as well.
Who Finishes Fourth?

Last season, Spurs held on to fourth over Manchester City.
This season, the same two clubs will fight it out, starting with the first game of the season Saturday.
Joining Spurs and City in the race will be Liverpool, Everton and maybe Aston Villa or Fulham.

That statement is most likely going to come to fruition but the atmosphere at Bloomfield Road and the competitive spirit of the players will be interesting to watch.
Can Chelsea Repeat As Champions?

Chelsea regained the title from Manchester United last season and then made some roster changes that could benefit them in the long run.
Joe Cole, Michael Ballack, Deco left the squad and Ramires and Yossi Benayoun have been brought in.
The one big hole for the Blues will be the loss of Ricardo Carvalho to Real Madrid.
The hole in the central defense will the key one to fill if Chelsea want to repeat as champions.
How Will Liverpool Rebound From Last Year's Disappointment?

Liverpool's season last year was more than disappointing and with that came a removal of Rafa Benitez and more importantly a loss of big money from not making the Champions League.
Now, the Reds have put Roy Hodgson in charge and are competing in the Europa League this season.

Martin O'Neill's sudden departure five days before the season at Aston Villa did not shock many because of his disagreement with owner Randy Lerner over their transfer policy.
Now with James Milner on his way to City, Villa lose one of their top players and more players could leave before the end of the transfer season.
Also, Villa have to find a new man to replace O'Neill and have to focus on the season ahead.
