PGA Championship

With the foggy start, The PGA Championship looked like it was being played in San Francisco not Wisconsin. After a three hour delay, play began and eventually was suspended with 78 players on the course.

Charles Howell III got up at 5:30 am for what turned out to be a 12 noon tee time. "Had three breakfasts," Howell quipped.

Bubba Watson Likes Bomb and Gouge

Bubba Watson hit driver, wedge on the 598-yard par five.  It was down wind.  But he was not the only one to hit those two clubs to the green. He made birdie.

Bomb and Gouge II is Dustin Johnson who also hit driver wedge on the 598-yard par five fifth hole.  He eagled it.

Phil Mickelson found himself in more than one trouble spot at Whistling Straits where there are more than 1000 bunkers.

Matt Kuchar Comes Back

Matt Kuchar eagled the 13th hole on Thursday and was tied for the lead as evening grew near Friday.

Not Gengis, Not Kublai But Simon Khan

Simon Khan was 471st in the world until he won the European PGA Championship in May of 2010. He vaulted 365 places and got into the British Open and the US  PGA Championship. He is one off the lead.

19-year-old Noh Seung-yul of South Korea was a special invitee to the PGA Championship.  He's just three shots back of the lead.
