Brandon Marshall’s once comical claim of playing in the NBA has apparently become a teeny bit more serious. Now you can bet on whether the event actually takes place on Bodog Sports Betting.
His prediction came after he spoke of the possibility of there being an NFL lockout after next season.

He said he plans to audition for either the Denver Nuggets or the Miami Heat.
”My first team will be the Nuggets and my second team will be the Heat—I’m serious,” Marshall said.
The fact that the odds are only plus 500 is a shocker to me. Sure professional athletes today can play multiple sports at the highest level, but football to basketball is a quite a transition.
Everyone in the NBA is phenomenal athlete, so Marshall wouldn’t have the advantage he had in high school.
“There’s not going to be any football,” Marshall predicted. “If there’s a lockout, I have to find a job. I figure the Nuggets will be a better choice because of the welcome home cheer I’ll get—a couple of boos at first. I’m gonna get with a basketball coach and get to work, prepare for the lockout.”
Obviously this is Marshall having fun with the media more than anything else and I would highly doubt he ever donned an NBA uniform.
Besides he has a career in Miami to worry about that hasn’t even taken flight yet.
Marshall playing in the NBA would be one heck of a publicity stunt.
