Baily DeeterAug 2, 2008

Today's first part of Niners Training Camp was very exciting. Players like Bryant Johnson, Robert Jordan, etc, had opportunities to play well and didn't waste them.

Bryant Johnson had 1 amazing catch and had 5 catches in the first part of camp, and J.J Finley had an amazing catch diving out of bounds.

Robert Jordan had 1 catch in the early part of camp, and Thomas Clayton had 11 carries and caught 2 passes. Sometimes he broke tackles, sometimes he went nowhere.

Cam Colvin caught 4 passes and ran on some of them and Arnaz Battle caught 3 passes and had 1 amazing catch.

J.T O'Sullivan completed 13 of 20 passes, Alex Smith completed 11 of 16 passes and Shaun Hill completed 4 of 7 passes. Based on today's camp, either O'Sullivan or Smith would be the starter.

On defense, Dashon Goldson and Reggie Smith each knocked down 2 passes, Terrell Brown had good coverage and knocked down a pass, Roderick Green knocked down a pass and towards the end they blitzed well.

Jason Hill caught 1 pass but dropped 2 passes and had 1 penalty. TE Billy Bajema also caught 1 pass.

DeShaun Foster had 3 carries and caught 1 pass but also dropped 1 pass and Frank Gore had 1 carry and caught 2 passes while Zak Keasey had 1 carry for like a yard.
