LB D'Qwell Jackson Injured Again: 2010 IDP Fantasy Football Impact
Browns inside linebacker D'Qwell Jackson was off to another strong IDP fantasy football season in 2009 until he suffered a torn pectoral muscle Week Six. At that point in time, Jackson was averaging close to 10 tackles a game which was the same pace he was on for the entire 2008 season.
In tackle heavy IDP leagues, Jackson was still a top ten fantasy option coming off his injury. Now, Jackson has had another pectoral issue, but on the other side of his body. At this time, Jackson is seeking a second opinion on the injury but his first diagnosis would put him out for four to eight weeks.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Unless better news comes along for Jackson, fantasy owners need to be conservative with this situation and expect him to miss at least eight weeks. If he came back after that time he would start playing again around the middle of October, and that would make plenty of time for you to use him this season.
While Jackson is out of the lineup it is projected that the Browns will use a rotation of players on the inside and that wouldn't be a great situation for IDP.
2010 Fantasy Draft Strategy For Jackson
If you have a deep bench or even an IR spot on your team it will greatly help your odds if you're able to stash Jackson away without jeopardizing the rest of your team. I would recommend you look to grab Jackson, but obviously after you've taken your core starters.
For a player who's already had issues in this area (pectoral), fantasy owners need to get him at a backup value so that you can take advantage of the upside he would give you down the stretch.
