Georges St-Pierre on Criss Angel Mindfreak

Dorothy WillisAug 10, 2010

Yes. In my life, Georges St-Pierre has always been larger than life.

Readers often accuse me of being obsessed with Georges; sometimes in words I would hesitate to repeat here. (As heavy as I am it would not be possible to hang from that particular body part on any man).

Never Have I denied being one of GSP's biggest fans.

Often I sit watching a Jean Claude Van Damme movie or Vin Diesel in the Pacifier and see Georges, instead of the respective stars playing their part. My imagination is the strongest part of my being.

While watching Chuck Liddell learn to smile and dance at the same time on Dancing With the Stars, I kept longing to hear that Georges would be present on the next season. Everyone who knows Rush can see that he already knows how to smile and move at the same time, loves music, and hangs out at all the "in" clubs in Canada.

Shari Spencer has done a great job hooking Georges up with dynamite sponsors, but would getting Georges a gig on DWTS be too much to ask?

Well, imagine my shock when a person on my Facebook page said to watch Georges tomorrow (Wednesday, August, 11), on Criss Angel Mindfreak.

Naturally, I will be watching, I will even turn to A&E early to be sure that I don't miss it, but my biggest question is, "Who the hell is Criss Angel and what in the world is Mindfreak?

I have always considered myself as being a "really hip" Granny who is up on all the modern trends. To my grandchildren's great consternation and embarrassment, I often show off my knowledge of the current fads or lingo in front of their close friends.

How did this show slip by me?

So now I will be forced to live through the next 24 hours (I hope), wondering what on earth Georges will be doing on a show that I have never, ever, seen. It surely isn't a soap opera, is it?

Why couldn't it be DWTS? At least I would know what to expect to see.

Anticipation can be a cruel b*tch, can't she Carly? Making me wait, keeping me waiting. . .

Well, at least I know where I will be, even if I haven't a clue about Georges.

Quick, somebody out there fill Grandma Dee in on this.

24 hours is an awfully long time to endure my own imagination!
