"Chelsea Football Club can confirm it has agreed terms for the transfer of Scott Sinclair to Swansea City. We thank Scott for his service over the past five years and wish him well in his future career. The 21-year-old arrived at Chelsea from Bristol Rovers in July 2005, having already made his debut for the Pirates when he was just 15.

He top-scored for the youth team in his first campaign with us, repeating the feat with the reserves a season later and he made a first team debut early in January 2007 before going on loan at Plymouth where he scored a memorable solo FA Cup goal. Drafted into the first team squad before Jose Mourinho's departure, Scott played regularly in domestic cup competitions under Avram Grant before loan moves to QPR, Charlton and Crystal Palace.

In his final 18 months at the club, Scott also spent time with Birmingham City in the Championship and Wigan Athletic in the Premier League, where he made 18 league appearances last season. In total for Chelsea, the Bath-born winger played 14 times, scoring once, a Carling Cup third round goal away at Hull City in September 2007. We hope to complete the transfer on Tuesday."
""Michael is training with us now and we have to consider him a Chelsea player. But we will take a decision this week about his situation. He could stay or maybe go on loan." "

""Peter presided over the club during a time of great success and unprecedented commercial growth, and subsequently, as non-executive director he was effective in representing Chelsea FC in our dialogue with world football bodies. I'd like to thank Peter for everything he's done for this football club and everyone here wishes him well for the future. He'll always be welcome back at Chelsea.'"
""The problem was a hernia. I first had it six years ago and, for the last six years, I have been struggling with it. I couldn't really work, it was difficult sometimes for me to play some games. I also had to miss some training sessions. Now I am really happy because it has gone and I feel more free. It really was a strange feeling [against United] because sometimes last year I needed some tablets to play. Now I am not even asking. It is a good feeling. There are no more tensions [in the groin]. You know it is really good for me – I am really happy that I had the operation.""
