Oakland Raiders: Triggering a Winning Attitude In Oakland

Oakland Raiders, please respond to this "trigger," an article intended to catapult you to a winning attitude.

The experiences I have had in urban education programs remind me of those participants who were easily "triggered" to act out certain behaviors. The word is used in an interesting way. Here is the definition:

Yes, I placed a yellow background in the chart. This is a warning light. The intent of this discussion is to trigger new behaviors in the Oakland Raiders.

Last year, so many fans were "upset" that the Oakland Raiders did not manage to get consecutive wins during the entire 2009 season.

Yes, I know that the preseason games don't count for some of the readers, but in my opinion, everything counts. Everything gets calculated into the equation for true and consistent victories.

The red line in this chart represents the Oakland Raiders. Nowhere in the chart do you see a horizontal segment connecting two wins, each valued as a "5" in this discussion.

And, when we look at the Seahawks' data for 2009, it only has one such horizontal segment.

The warning is that, in 2009, there was no constancy, nor consistency, in the win-loss record. The curve bounced from 0 to 5, and the win-loss behavior of the team shows that oscillation.

So, in 2010, we want to see more horizontal line segments in the graph. Or better, why not have a horizontal line segment with the equation y = 5, from x = [1, 16]—a 16-0 season?

If someone could forward this article to the coaches and players on the Oakland Raiders, just tell them that we want to "trigger" them, and get them fired up, so that they get "sick and tired" of losing, and start winning more games.

Note: The value of "5" for a "win" is an arbitrary choice. Obviously, "0" is a good choice for a "loss." I like "5". It symbolizes "grace" in another type of discussion.
