Rockies Light Up Peralta 😬
Someone should claim Adam Dunn

So, who should pick up Adam Dunn? Let's eliminate the teams that are not in it for the playoffs and won't make the playoffs next year. That means the Astros, Royals, Pirates, Diamondbacks, Mariners, Indians, and the Orioles won't be claiming Adam Dunn. Now, who are the teams that look like they could use a bat or even first baseman in their lineup? The Angels and the Rockies should go for Adam Dunn because the Angels could use a bat in their lineup if they are going to get back into contention for at least the Wild Card, and the Rockies could use a better first baseman in terms of offense. Jason Giambi and Todd Helton are on their last few years in their careers and Adam Dunn still has a few more years left in his career in terms of numbers. Now, the Yankees and Red Sox will be bidding for Adam Dunn next year because they both could use another first baseman/dh. That would give Ortiz or Taxiera some rest depending who gets him. I'm just not seeing that big of a class for next year's free agent class like the last few years have been so, Adam Dunn just might finally get his pay check. Also, look for the Cubs to take a shot at him. If Dunn goes to Chicago he could have a productive year in terms of numbers with the wind that goes out. He'd also have a productive year in Colorado. If there's another team that could use a bat in their lineup it'd have to be the Giants or Padres. If Dunn goes to the Padres he could play in the outfield and if he goes to the Giants he could play at first.
Now, if he's claimed the Nationals could keep him, trade him, or take cash for him. If I'm Washington I'd take the best offer that any team gives me. That means that they may have to be stuck with him because no one is willing to give up that much for him. I'd try and resign him so I don't have to worry about having to trade him. Now, I know that people still look at home runs when they decide who wins MVP and Adam Dunn could win MVP's if he didn't strike out as much.
If I do pick up Adam Dunn, I'm considering on giving him a long term deal for at least five years because I am wanting him for his power. He could easily bat cleanup in the first inning for most teams and whoever ends up with him come opening day will have a wonderful bat in their lineup.
