Miami Dolphins 2010 Season: Game-by-Game Analysis Leading to Playoffs

Thomas MorelandAug 6, 2010

Predictions to date: Oakland Raiders 8-8, Dallas Cowboys 11-5, New England Patriots 10-6, New York Jets 10-6, Pittsburgh Steelers 10-6,San Francisco Forty Niners 10-6 Philadelphia Eagles 9-7.

The Jets and New England are playing for a wild card, I have a feeling as this seasons schedule favors the Miami Dolphins.

The Forty Niners win that divison this season, and Dallas wins that NFC battle of theirs.

Let us see how the Dolphins stack up in 2010.

The Dolphins start off in Buffalo which has to be a win, to keep up with the Jets, and Patriots right away. This will be a victory for Miami. 1-0

Next in Week two they stay on the road against the now and future Favreless Vikings. Miami should be able to match offense and running with the Vikings in this one, and steal awin perhaps.

Is it too much to ask for 2-0 already?

Week three is against the Jets, at home, which Miami can win. Expect a close game, and a hot start for the Fins in 2010. 3-0 now.

New England comes to town the following week, and another at home win stuns the AFC as Miami is still perfect at 4-0.

They can play their hearts out for four weeks and rest on the Week Five bye week.

Week six is at Lambeau Field against a good Packer team and that will be the first loss perhaps as they regroup fro Week Seven. 4-1 now. If they lose a home game to the Jets or New England 3-2.

Week Seven finds the Steelers visiting in South Florida really needing this win, to try and angle for their own palyoff spot. I have the Dolphins winning but who really knows?

Let's say a pretty fair guess would be 4-2, with an outside shot at 5-1.

Week Eight and Nine finds the odds catching up to the Dolphins as Cincinatti and Baltimore send the Dolphins packing with a loss to those two teams. 4-4 now, with a small shot at 5-3 for the season.

Week 10 is a crossroads for the team as they need to beat Tennessee, then Chicago to regain momentum at perhaps 6-4 heading out to Oakland.

This Dolphin team should handle the Raiders and mange a 7-4 record with five games left.

Home against Cleveland grabs another win and playoff tickets ase being printed.

Overall record: 8-4 as the Dolphins lose to the Jets, and move to 8-5.

Buffalo should be one more win, and Miami gets Detroit this season as well. 10-5 now.

Last game of the season against New England they can win to go 11-5 or deal with a three way tie for first place with everyone at 10-6.

That's how the Dolphins swim in 2010. Enjoy the season.
