Brooke Gordon, the former wife of Jeff Gordon, the driver of the No. 24 Dupont Chevrolet, is in a custody dispute with a man who she had a child with last year. Jeff and Brooke Sealey Gordon, first met in Victory Lane in 1992, where she was "Miss Winston". The two began dating in secret, due to unspoken rules that did not allow drivers to date Miss Winston. They were then married in 1994 and divorced in 2003.

Last year the former Mrs. Gordon gave birth to a child whose father is James Dixon II of Charlotte, as reported by scenedaily.com. Jeff Gordon, himself, is not involved in the case, just his name. Jeff Gordon is currently married to Ingrid Vandebosch, and have a daughter Ella and are expecting an additional child later this year.

According to the report, Dixon is seeking $10,000 a month in child support, a house valued at over $1 million and a Mercedes Benz. Brooke, currently married to former South Carolina gubernatorial candidate, Mullins Mcleod gave the child she had with Dixon, the last name of Gordon.

"It is absolutely inappropriate for the child to be legally named after Jeff Gordon who is neither the father no a blood relative," wrote Dixon's attorney a letter dated March 19  to Brooke Gordon's attorney, which is part of the case file. "We understand that Ms. Gordon's desired to keep her ex-husband's last name, which is certinly her choice. But she planned to have a child with James Dixon, not Jeff Gordon."
