Livan for Liriano

The Twins made no trades before the deadline, but if La Velle is correct, they could make a big move on Friday. Francisco Liriano is supposed to start for the Red Wings, but La Velle is reporting that indications are that he won't make that start.

He said he gets the feeling that Livan Hernandez will be cut loose and Liriano will take his spot on the roster. It'd be an interesting move for a team that normally doesn't eat salary, and it'd be a twist to what fans thought would happen.

Just a week ago indications were that the Twins would cut loose Brian Bass or Boof Bonser and remove one of the youngsters from the rotation. Now it looks like they'll go with five youngsters instead.

Stay tuned tomorrow for updates...
