NFL Two-A-Days: Minnesota Vikings Season Preview

Ryan FryeAug 5, 2010

1. Whenever Brett Favre decides to show to up, can he surpass last year's success?

He's 40 years old, he can't be as good as he was last year. 2009 was one of the best years of his career, there's no way 2010 can be as good. His ankle also has to be a big concern after having surgery.

2. Can Adrian Peterson solve his fumbling issues?

Tiki Barber had this problem during his career and he eventually solved it. Peterson can do the same, if the Vikings will work with him on it. He is just too good to let this drag his career down.

3. Was last year Sidney Rice's coming out party or was he a one year wonder?

Favre helps him a lot, I do think he can continue that production. He has all the physical tools and put it all together last season. Call me crazy, but he reminds me of a young Randy Moss. I think he'll become a big star.

4. Have the Vikings done enough on defense to sure up a questionable secondary?

The pass rush saved the secondary last year. Lito Shepard was added, but the Jets didn't think too much of him after releasing him. Rookies also get burnt a lot so I don't see Chris Cook having an immediate impact. I see the Vikings secondary struggling and may end up costing the team.

5. Record?

9-7, second in the NFC North

This idea originated from ESPN's Mike & Mike. Here is a link to Mike & Mike's page on ESPN.com, you can check out their opinion on the Vikings.  Tomorrow I'll preview the Raiders and Eagles.
