Hope Is Still Flickering For Me With Buffalo Bills
Call it what you want. An eternal optimist. A die-hard fan. Someone who has faith and believes in miracles.
Somehow, someway I just have this feeling inside me that the Buffalo Bills aren't going to be as bad as many predict they will be in the 2010 National Football League season.
The down-home, laided back southern drawled General Manager Buddy Nix and Head Coach Chan Gailey somehow have me believing they are playing possum.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
We'll find out in the regular season opener against the Miami Dophins. Don't expect to see much in the pre-season games. They aren't tipping their hand at all.
I bet Dolphins' head coach Tony Sparano isn't pleased he gets to play the new Buffalo Bills in the season opener at Ralph Wilson Stadium. Talking about entering a game in the dark. No clue on how to game plan.
I think Miami is very overrated and Buffalo could spring a surprise right out of the blocks. The Dolphins have to bring their A game and be ready for immediate adjustments.
Remember when Miami sprung the "Wildcat" offense on New England? Gailey and crew may have something along that line...How do you game plan defensively when the Bills have Marshawn Lynch, Fred Jackson, C.J. Spiller (he'll be here by then) and maybe Roscoe Parrish floating around in the slot and backfield?
Also, any opening day at a raucous Ralph Wilson Stadium is no treat at all.
Gailey has the Bills hitting daily and double sessions are the norm in training camp. I like it. Former Coach Dick Jauron made his training camps boring and non-contact...and it carried over to the regular season. His teams played just like his traning camps...DULL.
Maybe Gailey's old-fashioned style is what the Bills need. He's an offensive-minded head coach and if he can get ANYTHING out of Trent Edwards at quarterback, who knows?
Defensively, the 3-4 will work. Buffalo has been good on the defensive side of the ball the past few years and if the offense can score any points at all, surprises can happen.
Maybe the smell of football has gotten me pumped up...hearing the crash of the pads, the grunting of the linemen at St. John Fisher. It's NFL football again!!!
But every year in the league, a team comes from nowhere. I hope it's Buffalo in 2010. I Bill-lieve!!! (Check back after week four...I may say ugh...un BILL-lieveable...lol)!!
