LeBron James spent time yesterday to play basketball with kids at the University of California, San Diego. Although some felt that he was just trying to improve his image by playing with kids, he has actually admitted to missing playing with the Cavaliers.

Following the event, James said, "Despite the fact that I mortgaged my legacy to play with my buddies, I really do miss being the man in Cleveland, and doing this allowed me to feel like I was back dominating the other guys during practice."

He did that by repeatedly stealing the ball, even at one point throwing an alley-oop to himself over a few of the children.

Doing so was reminiscent of when he would play in Cleveland, and the players around him were of similar caliber.

"I really enjoyed doing this, because it both allowed me to feel like playing in Cleveland again and I was able to play somewhere outside of Miami without being constantly booed," said LeBron.

At some points, LeBron was even able to recreate a moment during practice.

"My favorite part was when one of the kids tried to pass it, I returned it, jumped over a few kids, and dunked it. It reminded me of this one time Delonte West tried to pass the ball, I stole it and jumped over Zydrunas Ilgauskas to dunk it, really brought back some memories," said LeBron.

Also, doing this was heartwarming, as he even allowed the children on his team touch the ball sometimes, but only if they agreed to immediately pass the ball back to him.

Little Timmy said, "It was really cool, except I was hit by him one time when he dunked and kicked me in the face while he was flying through the air."

Dan Gilbert was also found for comment on the event, he had this to say, "One of the kids, I think his friends called him Jeffery, threw a pass that wasn't stolen by LeBron. We are thinking about signing him to take LeBron's spot, we are currently in talks with him, I'm expecting him to take around a five-year, $45 million contract."

Fans flocked to Quicken Loans Arena when Jeffery was there to sign his contract, signs saying "We Are Witness" and a new billboard is being designed where LeBron's once was.

The whole event was recorded and can be seen here (you have to go into the video a little bit to see the part with the kids), except, at one point, when one of the children laid down a nasty 360 dunk in LeBron's face, he had that tape destroyed.
