2010 NFL Fantasy Football: Guys You Want To Roster
Outside of the usual Top Three at every position, by the end of the fantasy football season the preseason rankings lose quite a bit of value. With that in mind, let's take a look at some intriguing possibilities for this season at each position.
QB: Tony Romo, Dallas
Everybody's favorite quarterback to hate, Romo, in all actuality, was fantasy gold at the position last season. Popular pick Drew Brees averaged 17.5 fantasy points per contest while Romo averaged 15.7—that's a difference of less than two fantasy points per contest.
Despite his poor image in the public eye to everyone other than Cowboys fans, Romo has a chance to emerge with elite fantasy quarterback status with all of the weapons that now surround him.

Colts Release Kenny Moore

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
The Cowboys aerial attack has been a feared one for the last few seasons and now that phenom rookie WR Dez Bryant has been added to the fold, Romo could be in line for (statistically) his best season ever. Do not hesitate to make him your starter on draft day.
Honorable Mention: Tom Brady, New England, Carson Palmer, Cincinnati, Matt Schaub, Houston
RB: Ray Rice, Baltimore
Despite teammate Willis McGahee vulturing 12 touchdowns from the scant Rice last season, the speedster out of Rutgers did everything and more to cement his value as a consensus Top Five fantasy pick with nothing but upside.
Remember when Chris Johnson's value was supposed to be limited by LenDale stealing TDs? Yeah, me too. Don't make the same mistake twice and pass on Rice after the top three are off the board, or maybe even before Maurice Jones-Drew.
Despite scoring just seven rushing touchdowns, he added another four through the air and is arguably the best receiver out of the backfield in the league. Despite Baltimore's addition of receiver Anquan Boldin, I still expect them to be a run-first team with a mauling offensive line.
Honorable Mention: Ryan Matthews, San Diego, Rashard Mendenhall, Pittsburgh, Knowshon Moreno, Denver, Ryan Grant, Green Bay
WR: Brandon Marshall, Miami
You heard it here first: Brandon Marshall will be the best fantasy wide receiver this season. Despite his knucklehead behavior, the former fourth round selection really blossomed last season as one of the elite options at the position and has continued to grow.
Now with cannon-armed QB Chad Henne to sling him the rock, Marshall should be able to produce stats that are better than last year's coming out party.
Despite eclipsing double-digit receptions just twice last season (including 21 receptions in a single game), Marshall consistently delivered for owners. Now on a better Dolphins team, the big target outside will be a favorite downfield target and a steal in every fantasy draft in the second round.
Honorable Mention: Roddy White, Atlanta, Randy Moss, New England, Pierre Garcon, Indianapolis, Greg Jennings, Green Bay, Michael Crabtree, San Francisco
TE: Brent Celek, Philadelphia
After being touted by some as a possible sleeper by some last season, Celek's coming out party was one of the biggest (if not No. 1) coming out parties of the 2009 season. Celek showed consistent ability to separate himself in the middle of the field and is a big target for new QB Kevin Kolb. It certainly doesn't hurt that Kolb and Celek are road roommates either, as that will only add to the chemistry between the two.
Look for Celek to increase his overall numbers from last season, and possibly even surpass 1,000 total yards while garnering around seven to 10 touchdowns.
Honorable Mention: Jermichael Finley, Green Bay, Zach Miller, Oakland, Chris Cooley, Washington
