The Nexus, what does the future hold?

At the moment, The Nexus is the most dominant force in the WWE.  They have had their way since they destroyed John Cena, and the entire RAW set over a month ago.  Now they are set for a 7 on 7 battle at SummerSlam.  But once that is over, what can we expect from this group?

     Well, looking not too far into the future, I am sure the group will still be together after SummerSlam.  They have mentioned having a larger purpose, and rumours of Triple H being the secret person pulling the strings behind the scenes still has to be seen.  But I am more concerned with what will happen after this angle itself has played out.  Where do the 7 individuals wind up?  Because you know at some point they will separate, and from there it is sink or swim. 

     Watching each of them for the last few weeks, it is becoming obvious that they are still very green, and that not all of them will be around a year from now.  So judging from what little I have seen thus far, I am making a guess at who has the best chance at still being in the WWE by next summer.

Wade Barrett.   This one should be fairly obvious.  He won season 1 of NXT, therefore by their own rules, he is the next “Breakout Star”  And has a Title shot owed to him at a Pay Per View.  He is big, has mic skills, and actually does seem to know what he’s doing in the ring at times.  He’ll stay.

David Otunga.   Another keeper.  Although I don’t think he is quite ready just yet.  Perhaps a move over to Smakdown where they could edit out any mistakes for a while would be in order.  I see “The A-List” still being around next year.

Justin Gabriel.   Lets see, he can do a wicked 450 splash, and……yep that’s all I see right now.  Unless he shows me something else at SummerSlam, I don’t see him being around for very long.

Heath Slater.   There definitely is some talent hidden in there, but as it stands right now, he has the personality of dead fish.  Perhaps if he is used properly and learns some mic skills he can survive.  This one is hard to call, but I will go out on a limb and say that he will stay.

Darren Young.   When the only thing about you that gets noticed is your hair, that is really, really bad.  Mr Young, hair up, or down, is boring, and I don’t expect to see him next summer.

Skip Sheffield.   This man is a tank.  The person who once called himself “The Silverback” is indeed one of those men that gets noticed.  He could use a little work, and his mic skills need to improve, but he has the look that Vince McMahon likes, and he does have ring presence.  I see him staying.

Michael Tarver.   What is up with that mask?  Perhaps he watches TNA and saw The Pope doing it and thought if it worked for him then why not?  The difference is, Pope has more skill and charisma in his little finger than this guy has in his entire body.  Maybe I’m wrong, and he will surprise me at SummerSlam, but for now, I won’t bet on him staying around.

     So by my count, I think only 4 of the 7 will still be around a year from now.  Which is usually what a good stable normally consists of.  That is,  if they were to still be together that long.
