Serena Williams' Ugly Side Shows Again

Call me a Serena hater; I don't mind. I'm just not a fan.

This woman has lived the most blessed life of anyone I know, yet she continues to complain.

Worse yet, some in the sporting press have even suggested young women emulate Serena Williams.

Really? From the bogus back-story to the refused drug test for the 2004 Olympics, to the idiotic comments about steroids and women, to the outrageous outburst at the US Open to today's childish tweeting about not getting comp tickets...

Is this who we want our kids to emulate? Why not throw in Lindsay Lohan while you're at it?

Today's tweet was in regards to asking to pay for tickets to a small tournament here in Los Angeles; like she doesn't have the dough to cover it.

I know, I know. She supposedly did some PR for the tournament. 

I don't know what she did, or how she was involved. No one other than the people involved know the whole story.

Are these tickets extras, or are they all she was given? Did she talk to the people she'd been working with or just call up the ticket office?

I'm guessing if Serena did some PR, than her people have a contact there and any problems could be easily sorted out with a couple of discreet phone calls.

You know, the way an adult would handle it. Or just a decent human being.

Instead, she decides to make a Global tweet on her Twitter page. Not once but several times. 

Is that roid rage, Serena? I would have thought you'd moved on to HGH by now. It supposedly doesn't have the same side effects, and it's all the rage with the likes of Alex Rodriguez and others. 

Serena and others of her ilk are the main reason I don't watch women's tennis anymore. I can't wait for her go to go off into the sunset and try hocking her crappy fashion line without a platform. 

Then she'll really find out how the real world works.

Serena's never lived in the real world. She was a child prodigy playing at exclusive tennis camps out of the gate and she's been given breaks that few people have ever gotten.

She's always had everything handed to her and now when a small, struggling tournament asks her to pay for a ticket, she throws a hissy fit. 

Way to support the sport that gave you so much.

After her juvenile outburst, I have half a mind to buy a ticket to the Farmer's Classic just to support the tournament that stood up to Ms. Williams.

I'm just glad she won't be in this year's US Open. Who needs her?
