Best Football Player By Position

Quarterbacks

1 Peyton Manning

Manning has worked very hard to get to where he is now, and that work paid off with a championship, league MVP, Super Bowl ,etc.  Manning could be the best QB ever.

2 Tom Brady

Brady has went from 7th string QB to starting QB in college and won MVP in the NFL and led his team to 3 Super Bowls. Brady or Manning? Hard to choose.

3 Brett Favre

Favre might not be the best QB now, but he holds the record for passing yards and is one of the greatest QB's of all time. Favre might not play this year, however.

4 Matt Hasselbeck

Hasselbeck is expected to play like he did last year, at least by me. Hasselbeck played very well last year and was a backup in the Pro Bowl and threw a TD to Chris Cooley in the 2nd quarter.

5 Tony Romo

Romo was a starter in the Pro Bowl and he performed well all season and led the Cowboys to a 13-3 record. Romo has Pro Bowl receiver Terrell Owens and Patrick Crayton, which might make him a better QB

Running Backs

1 LaDainian Tomlinson

Tomlinson had 406 yards in a college game, has had 28 or 29 touchdowns in a season and 111 touchdowns in his NFL career. Tomlinson is a very special player, and is the best player in the league in my opinion.

2 Adrian Peterson

Peterson had an amazing year in 2007 and won Pro Bowl MVP and a new car with a performance of 129 yards on 16 carries. Peterson is expected to have another year like that.

3 Steven Jackson

Jackson played well last year and will probably have year just like that again. Jackson is a player that leads the Rams offense, and without him they would do even worse then they do now.

4 Brian Westbrook

Westbrook is a Pro Bowl back, and is one of the 2 players that carries the team. Westbrook is a very fast back, and can catch passes too. That is why he is a great RB.

5 Marion Barber

Barber played well last year, but was a backup to Julius Jones in some games. But with Jones in Seattle, Barber will perform better. Barber can also be a 3rd down back while resting on the bench.

WR's

1 Randy Moss

Moss scored 23 touchdowns last year, and with a Quarterback like Tom Brady, anything is possible. Brady usually throws to Moss, which makes Moss a great receiver.

2 Terrell Owens

Owens played very well last year and had many touchdown grabs, but much of the work was Tony Romo. If Owens doesn't drop passes all the time, he will be a better receiver.

3 Larrry Fitzgerald

Fitzgerald can grab high passes and he doesn't drop them like Terrel Owens does. Fitzgerald also can catch passes that are not thrown very well. That's why he is a great receiver.

4 Torry Holt

Holt made the Pro Bowl in 2008 and with the same performance that he had last year he could be the leader of the team. Holt is getting old, but is still an athletic receiver.

5 T.J Housmedzadah

Housmedzadah performed well at the beginning of the year last year but cooled off at the end of last year. But even if he performs the same way he did last year, he might still make the Pro Bowl.
