Is The WWE Dependent On One Man Show at Present?

The Phenom AshwinthJul 23, 2010

Welcome…My first ever article on Bleacher Report...

Ever since the Attitude Era of WWE has come to an end and the PG Era is on, there have been quite a lot of changes in the WWE. Most of which deal with the amendments of rules primarily with an intention of making WWE a family show.

The banning or chair shots to the head, restrictions in and around the ring, ban to use the Referree’s names on TV etc may be cited as some of such amendments, but it is indeed to be noted that there are few other changes in the WWE which still remain unrecognized. “Unrecognized” here does mean that they are noticed but their seriousness overlooked. I am talking about the problem of “The Show depending on a single Superstar”.

All that is making RAW interesting now is the Nexus...I mean their interference to Cena’s matches, and later on to insult and humiliate not only superstars but also Ring announcers, Legends, and Hall of Famers, but just imagine what would happen after the Nexus' issue has been settled possibly at SummerSlam? Or even later? Is Cena getting it right by making his statement ‘After SummerSlam, Nexus is History’ or is the Stable (as it claims) getting Cena with it and ‘Creating History?’

Sooner or later this issue has to be settled in either way. Then who is taking on RAW thereafter? Wouldn't it be a bit more clever to meanwhile ignite a fuming feud between any of the main-eventers (or atleast mid-carders) which will then support the heat of the show? There is nothing wrong with having another pipelined feud as the show is certainly better with more than one feud. Lets not accuse RAW alone...coming to Smackdown!!

Gosh it really stinks at present. With the disappearance of The Undertaker, all that keeps SD going is the Big Red Monster Kane. I literally mean that a single person is taking over a show... And as reports suggest, if kane loses the title back to the undertaker , then obviously Kane's innings is over and The Undertaker takes charge of SD( as he previously had). Again a single person taking it over. Isn't this sounding Ridiculous????

It is certainly possible to use the same Nexus in singles matches with the RAW Roster and eventually igniting a personal rivalry among them. This is only going to add up spice to the 7-on-7 match at SummerSlam. The Rivalry between Orton and Edge has disappeared all of a sudden without proper conclusion. Here it is also to be noted that now with Jericho on RAW, its again possible to ignite a Jericho-Edge rivalry.

On Smackdown, except for Kane’s activities justified as a search for the Undertaker’s attacker, nothing is notable.

Summing things up, as of now, in my point of view, be it RAW or SmackDown, is carried over by one person or one rivalry alone. Which when ends, makes the WWE Universe look for “Who’s next?” .  It would always be better to simultaneously ignite rivalries which may change the above question to “Hey what happened to the other issue?” which certainly builds much more interest among the WWE Universe. Eventually, a better WWE. Thanks for reading. I'm open to comments, critics and Suggestions..
