The Bleacher Report King of The Ring Is Underway!

I had the idea for a fantastic post which I hope can light a flame under the bottoms of the Bleacher Report community and get you all involved. Basically, there's a whole bunch of superstars in the WWE at the moment who have the ability to challenge for their respective world titles, but aren't really recognized enough to be considered a mainstay of the WWE.

This tournament aims to rectify it by giving you the chance to vote on a tournament of 24 wrestlers in a Bleacher Report King of the Ring, with it's own storylines, which will aim to crown a unified cross-brand WWE World Heavyweight Championship. I've purposely omitted the John Cenas, Undertakers, Triple Hs and all the other established names already in the WWE. The purpose of this tournament is to see, if Bleacher Report had control over WWE booking policy, who they would make the next WWE star.

Basically, there will be eight qualifiers to trim the crowd down to 16 men, with the winners of each qualifier going on to face a seeded superstar in the first round. Each match will be conducted via a B/R article, with a poll for each match. BR users will be given two days to poll on their preferred winner and use the comment box to discuss how they'd like the match to play out. Then, when polls are closed, I'll publish the finished results complete with match commentary!

So, Bleachers, this is your chance to make a WWE superstar into a legend! In the next day or two, I will be unveiling each superstar's path to the tournament. It's a mixture of monster heels, upcoming faces and interesting wild cards that I'm sure you're going to enjoy!
