🚨 Mitchell Headed to 1st Conference Finals

RSVP: Dixie's Hardcore Party

Last night's Impact answered questions and continued recent history by promoting a top flight card. From the Global title match to Dixie's answer, TNA proved that they respect both the fans and the history of the business. Dixie does things the right way.

The Global title match pitted Rob Terry against A.J. Styles. The match was a classic power vs. skill contest. The ending was classic Horsemen. Putting the Global title on A.J. signals the start of Fortune's gold rush in TNA or if he and Kaz can't get along long-term it would kick off an awesome feud between two of the best in the world.

Adding Sarita and Taylor to the Madison vs. Angelina feud gave us a good tag match and two feuds for the price of one. All involved brought it and the "Mystery Woman," Lacey and Velvet being involved keeps everyone in play in the KO division. Taking the belt off of Angelina was the right thing to do because of the unknown factor that caused the DQ at Victory Road.

The power vs. skill theme came up again in the Hernandez vs. Kurt Angle contender's match. The appreciative crowd was split as Kurt prevailed to keep his climb to the top going. The loss did little to stifle Hernandez being seen as a talented piece of TNA's future.

The Kevin Nash-Jeff Jarrett debate continued with Nash getting personal and bringing up Jeff's daughters. I'm not sure where this is going. My best guess is that Sting, Hogan, and Bischoff will eventually get involved. This promo felt like Nitro. Can Nash and Jarrett bring the heat? Time will tell.

Samoa Joe dominated Jeff Hardy in their time limit draw. I love the fact that TNA books great matches like this for Impact. The crowd was into this match. The only downer was the Bischoff call. Even with that distraction, both of these men made me want to see them in the ring again.

Anderson continued his trek to the top with a solid win over Matt Morgan. The asshole gimmick is on fire! If TNA adds the Pope to this mix in a three-way dance, we'll witness a few show stealers.

Putting the Motor City Machine Guns vs. Beer Money streetfight in the main event was the right thing to do. Beer Money's win puts them one win away from the belts. This loss forces the Guns to win three in a row to retain the belts. It's a classic build for an epic series. The Hebner ref conflicts and bumps only add more drama to these matches.

Dixie's answer proved that she truly cares about the fans. She listens and gives us what we want. Her heartfelt speech led into Mick Foley's return speech and the introduction of Tommy Dreamer perfectly. The passion and emotion in the ring was to borrow one from Kurt Angle, "Real! Damn Real!"

By righting the crime of WWE murdering the original ECW and giving those who built it "another chance at a last impression," the decision shows class and respect. Vince showed neither when he had WECW.

Dixie is not only strengthening her brand, but she is protecting history and preserving the legacies of those whose passion matches her own.

In short, this was the best promo I've witnessed in a long time!

Thank You Dixie!
