2010 Cleveland Browns Don't Count Us out Just Yet
Many people are counting out the Cleveland browns before the season even starts. There are so many articles talking about Colt Mcoy being a bust when he hasn't even played a single down in the nfl. Yet has the most winniest record in college football history. We will get back to that later though. Power rankings have the browns at 27 , 30, 31st place their is no respect despite having a four game winning streak. People all over the league are laughing at us even with are off season moves and gaining Mike Holgrem to this once unstable Football organization.
The one thing that the football experts are not counting on is the amount of heart that this team is playing with. This year and with expectations so low they have nothing to loose they are playing each game like it is their last. What i mean by this is that we got rid of all of our Diva's and we brought it core values that each team should have that the New orleans saints have , your probably reading this and are like what he just compared the Saints to the browns what is he thinking . I'm comparing them by there players and the heart that they have and how they leave it all on the field no matter what. This year that is what your gonna see from the 2010 Cleveland browns.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Every aspect of our team has improved and has made huge strides i will break down each one of them in this article . Starting with the most important part .
Quarterback
During the offseason the browns picked up Jake Delehome and Seneca Wallace which at the time many browns fans were scratching there head . We got rid of Brady Quinn the Hometown hero who we hoped was going to be like Bernie Kosar but Holgrem did not see that so he got rid of him and who knows it might be a mistake it might not only time will tell. Then he also sent Derek Anderson packing who was a turnover machine he was not consistant and to be a winner in this league you have to limit the turn overs and Derek did not so he was gone as well. So we now have Jake Delehome who people believe is washed up and doesn't have anything left what i have to say to those people is look at the credentials that he has compared to anyone who we had in Cleveland for the past 10 years he wins in almost every Cateorgy. We needed a Quarterback who could show leaderships and inspire his teammates to win and i believe for the short term we have him. Then you have Seneca Wallace a big time star at Iowa who has been a career backup. His completion percentage is a great improvement to what we had last year, and his speed and his ability to thrown on the run with such accuracy gives the opposing defenses headaches and they need to adjust to that on the fly. Especially when he can be lined up in the wild cat formation and then have the abiity to throw the ball. Is he running or gonna pass you dont know until it happens. Lastly Colt Mcoy 85th overall pick in the 2010 draft who alot of people are saying he can't make it in Cleveland despite coming from Texas an amazing program with elite competition. His arm strengh is to weak is ridiculous this kid can flat out play i'm not gonna get into a huge novel about how much i love him. Time will tell but i can tell you this he has heart alot of heart and knows how to win. Given the chance he will prove the critics they are dead wrong.
Secondary
During the offseason we acquired Sheldon Brown who has been a very solid starter for the eagles for many seasons and has been very productive. In the draft we picked up Larry Asante , and Tj Ward both big hitters and both something that the browns Secondary has been lacking for the longest time . Guys that will lay the wood when you come across the middle on a slant pattern the recievers will think twice before jumping in the air to catch a ball. Joe haden will be a nice compliment to Eric Wright or Sheldon Brown who ever he plays next to. The ideal move would be for Sheldon to move to safety and Haden and Wright being the corner's. From what i am told though Sheldon is not willing to do that and the browns are not doing that but we will see. The secondary being improved makes Rob Ryan's job alot easier with that being said i'm talking about with solid corners we can do more man coverage and not zone, so that the defensive front can rush more and get more pressure on the quarterback and get more turnovers .
Wide Recievers
We have a young group of guys that have unlimited potential . There numbers last year don't justify what they are actually capable of becaues last year our offense was a mess especially with a first year offensive coordinator and a revolving door in the quarterback area. Mohamad Massaquoi he started off hot when we got rid of Braylon Edwards but then trailed off at the end of the season. This year expect big things from him he is a strong guy with a great vertical leap and great hands despite having those drops last year he will have a much improved year. Having a year under his belt and getting to know the speed of the nfl and what he needs to do to be succesful. Then you have Brian Robiskie who i believe this year will be the number two guy with all the hype out of college being the most polished reciever coming into last year's draft Brian barely got on the field he was mostly used for special teams , but when given the chance he showed glimmers of hope. This year he is out to prove something and already he has the coaches taking notice during the Ota's. He has put on some muscle mass and worked on his speed coming off the line of scrimmage look for him to be a great slot guy and the main target in red zone situations. Chansi stuckey i dont know what will happen with him but again look for him to improve , he came to the browns in mid season and there wasn't much time to get into a ryhthm. Lastly but not least i'm gonna talk about Carlton Mithell who has some steps to take in order to be a reliable reciever , but given the time and proper tutoring he will be a steal in 2010 draft. With his 4.4 speed and his high Vertical leap he is a solid 215 to 220 pounds he has the similarities of Brandon Marshall minus the Diva the world owes me everything .
Tightends
The addition of Ben Watson will really help our abysmal Red Zone scores. He is a big target with good blocking not great but has good hands. He also is not afraid to jump up and get the ball. Evan moore even though i think he will be more of a receiver he will be lined up with Ben Watson in a two tightend set is a sleeper waiting to be awakend. This kid has it all he has speed, he has size , and he has the hands i mean he catches everything that comes to him and even in traffic. The catches i saw him make last year were incredible he does not drop balls , he will be a great second option for Delehome when Watson and him are lined up togather.
Defensive Line , and Linebackers
Last year the browns were 8th in sacks last year this year that number should go up or stay in the same range. When Shaun Rogers was out Rubin replaced him at Nose Tackle during that time the browns went from letting up over 100 yards rushing a game to 70 to 80 yards a game a big difference in the rush defense. It's not that Shaun Rogers isn't good it's that what the coach said was he was so fast that the other guys did not catch up to his pace and he woud leave gaps open that were suppose to be closed. This year the browns are gonna move Rogers to DE , and they are gonna play Rubin at Nose tackle which in my eyes will make a huge different your gonna have rogers coming off the edge with his speed and strength and then Rubin coming right up the middle this year defensive line is gonna be mean and quarterbacks beware. The linebackers we have alot of depth with getting Chris Gocong and Scott Fujita also we have Dqwell jackson back after suffering a season ending injury last year. With all of these linebackers Rob Ryan can set up alot of different blitz packages and formations to confuse opposing offenses. Dqwell being back he has alot to prove and little time if he wants the big money he better put up big numbers we will have to wait and see.
Special Teams
Despite what is being told around the league I don't think Brad Seely likes the idea of not having Josh Cribbs return kicks for him . Could he be taken off covering kick offs that is a possibility. I high doubt tho at how young Cribbs is and has already broken the record for kickoff return touchdowns that he would taken off this duty that he does so well naturally and so effectively. He is paid so let's use Josh for what he is worth and what he wants to be used as. The most explosive and versatile weapon the Nfl has seen. If you doubt that he is that good then you have not seen this guy play if you tell him to he will do it and he will excel at it. Look for them to use Cribbs in the wildcat but also look for them to use him in the wildcat throwing the ball. Remeber Cribbs was a Quarterback in College and knows how to throw the ball , he can beat you in the air or with his feet.
Fullbacks
Lawrence Vickers- is the best fullback in the nfl by far. He paved the way for Josh Cribbs and he paved the way for Jerome Harrison on that four game stretch with over 200 yards rushing. He will run you over and is built like a tank he just likes to block and hit people hard and he does not like to do bad at his job, that's why whatever running back runs with him they are very succesful.
Peyton Hillis- Will be used in goaline situations and also is a decent blocker but not nearly the capacity that Vickers is. He in somecases could be used as a runningback he had great numbers before he got hurt and did not play the rest of the season for the Denver Broncos.
Runningbacks
Jerome Harrison - Will be the starter i believe with his amazing rushing stats at the end of last season. He didnt get to many carries because of Jamal Lewis being the main guy . When Lewis got hurt that is when Harrison shined. His size is a concern to alot of people and his ability to block but if you can run the ball that well let the kid run.
Montario Hardesty- This guy is my favorite because i watched him play when he was in college i like his style alot. It's hard running and he will run you over his is a big body guy who has great vision and elusiveness for his size. I believe he will be the starter before the season is over if he can stay healthy.
James Davis - Showed flashes of being an amazing running back in Preseason last year and showed off an 81 yard touchdown run in the Detroit preseason game. Then he got hurt during practice and was placed on injured reserve. Most people have him as a long shot making the roster that he might be cut. You have to remember though that he is the guy who beat out Cj spiller , who in this year's draft was suppose to be the most explosive offensive player . James Davis is no scrub i can tell you that.
In closing look for the Browns to give the AFC North a run for their money , I'm not saying Superbowl bound but they will have more then four wins in which most experts predict. Look for 500. or above they will play hard and leave it all on the field and will not hold back , They will bring the Dawg pound back to life and strike fear into opposing teams. Also by December and January the games were playing still might mean something like a wild card spot. Crazier things have happend.
