Kane's Cashes Gold: A Title Win A Decade In The Making

Graham GSM MatthewsJul 19, 2010

Last night at the inaugural Money In The Bank Paper-view, Kane experienced the biggest night of his career when he did the impossible: capturing his first World Heavyweight Championship.

It all started at the top of the hour when Kane captured his first Money In The Bank briefcase, shocking WWE and Kane fans worldwide.

Nearly an hour later, Kane took the ultimate opportunity in cashing in his immediate title shot on Rey Mysterio, after an exhausting match with Jack Swagger.

After a Chokeslam and a Tombstone, Kane made history. Something that has been a decade in the making.

Not only big the Big Red Monster make history for cashing in his briefcase the fastest, but he is the only man in history to win all of WWE's Top World Titles, being the WWE Championship, the now defunct ECW Championship, and now the World Heavyweight Championship.

Since the ECW Title is defunct, he is one of very few to accomplish something this monumental. Big Show has yet to accomplish this, as he won the WCW Championship, but not the World Heavyweight in WWE.

I have been waiting for this moment a long time, as well as many WWE Fans all around the world. If you told anyone a year ago that Kane would win the World Title, they'd tell you, "Yea, that be the day John Cena gets fired."

So, where from here? Since Taker's attacker has yet to be revealed, the two top suspects are Jack Swagger and Kane, unless WWE pulls another twist on us. More than likely, it will be revealed as Kane, setting up a colossal World Title match between the two at SummerSlam, with Swagger and Mysterio facing each other in a rematch, like a Submission Match or something.

If the two brothers do face off, I beg WWE to give Kane the win, as he has yet to defeat Undertaker in a major encounter (I'm not entirely sure, so please correct me if I'm wrong).

The Swagger vs. Taker match can wait until Wrestlemania 27.

Also, this leaves us fans many questions to answer. Will Kane retire following his reign? Will he be revealed as the attacker? If Kane could get a World Title push, could The Great Khali get a big push too? - (stop laughing)

In conclusion, I thank you Bleachers for reading my breaking news story on this history-making event. I sure hope that this major push for Kane continues will be here to stay, and tune in to RAW and Smackdown for questions to be answered!

This is GSM signing out, thanks everyone! Please comment and like as you wish!
